Taksim Square Arrangement Construction (Etape 1)
In the scope of the project “Taksim Square Arrangement Construction Etape 1” that is approved to be put into tender with decision of AYKOME dated 15.03.2012 and numbered 2012/1, the site was delivered on 28.09.2012 and construction works were completed on 05.09.2013 and it was put into service. The level crossing road of 350 m was taken under the ground and a pedestrianized area of 20,000 square meters was acquired for Taksim Square and bus stops were integrated with Taksim-Levent Subway Line.
It was aimed to pedestrianize the Square completely by taking the traffic of Beyoğlu – one of the most populated areas of
Istanbul in terms of people and vehicles – and particularly Taksim Square under the ground.

Beyoğlu Kasımpaşa Hasköy Tunnel Project
Construction woks of Beyoğlu, Kasımpaşa Hasköy Street Road Rehabilitation Project of which project works were prepared by the Department of Transpiration with the Decision of UTK dated 20.10.2010 and numbered UTK2010/38-7 was decided to be implemented by the Ministry of Transportation (General Directorate for Roads) with the official declaration dated 06.08.2012 and numbered TN:857513 2935 for the allocation of field from the military area and building displacement works. The project is being revised partially due to the registered structures and expropriation plan that will be prepared according to the revised project will be sent to Expropriation Directorate.
Total area to be expropriated is 5,577.17 m2. Tunnel length:
north tube has a length of 1,239.50 m and south tube has a length of 1,178.30 m.
