About Program

Business Administration is a branch of science tackling business issues including the effective, profitable and efficient ways of managing private and public sector institutions while adapting to the changing environmental conditions. Management education should be compatible with the latest trends and innovations and should follow the markets closely since it targets the constantly changing and innovative business word. Some subjects are gaining a special importance in this branch.

Business Administration education is gradually getting more international. The number of companies operating in the international arena is increasing in today's global world markets. Giving the necessary information and ability to communicate and do business with people from different cultures naturally has become one of the basic aims of management education.

Our graduates possibly will be employed as "Managers" but may also receive titles such as "Director, Assistant Director, and Expert" according to the sectors they work in.

Objectives

The graduate programme in Business Administration aims to enable students to gain relevant knowledge about their profession and improve their analytical thinking and leadership skills so as to play an active role in the management.

The total credits required for the satisfactory completion of the curriculum are 30 credits. The program additionally requires a graduation project to be successful completed.

E-MBA512 Finansal Muhasebe (Financial Accounting) (3 credits) The objective of the course is exploring the importance of using financial accounting data in decision-making. Students are introduced to the importance of such data to decision-making by discussing the principles and basic applications of financial accounting. (This course is given in Turkish)

E-MBA511 Pazarlama Yönetimi (Marketing Management) (3 credits) The aim of this course is to explain students the fundamental principles and concepts of marketing management. Upon successful completion of this class, students will have knowledge of strategic planning and developing marketing strategy, analyzing the environment and managing market information, understanding consumer and business markets, developing customer driven marketing strategy, delivering value by product development, pricing, distribution, and promotion strategies, creating competitive advantage and implementing global marketing tools. E-MBA513 Yönetim ve Organizasyon (Management & Organization) (3 credits) The objective of this course is to define the terms Management and Organizational Behavior relate to a considerable breadth and depth of topics relative to both the business world and the construction management industry.

We often hear terms such as change agent, accountability, ethical conduct, paradigm shift, team building, culture and a plethora of others. The terms may seem strange in the macho world of construction however; an appreciation for these concepts is crucial to becoming a successful construction manager.

This course will seek to enhance your understanding of management principles and organizational behavior theories and their relationship to the construction management profession. (This course is given in Turkish)

E-MBA521 E-Ticaret (E-Trade) (3 credits) The purpose of this course is to study the structure and dynamics of international trade within an evolving world economy from the perspective of a developing country, especially Turkey. Students will analyze the essential characteristics of foreign trade structures of developing countries within recent periods of world economy. (This course is given in Turkish)

E-MBA523 Finansal Yönetim (Financial Management) (3 credits) The objective of this course is to introduce the students to the specifics of financial management.These include the in-depth analysis of capital budgeting with regard to capital investment decisions and project evaluation. The emphasis, then, shifts to the basic lessons derived from the capital market history: the risk premium and the variability of returns. A careful treatment of the systematic and unsystematic components of the risk will be followed by one of the most important concepts in financial management: Security Market Line. These are to analyze the subtle relationship among the concepts of required rate of return, discount rate and cost of capital. Then the scrutiny of weighted average cost capital is to provide a powerful insight concerning that the subjectivity on the exogenous determination of discount rates or required rate of returns are no more needed. Finally the course concludes with the financing decisions of long-term investments such as how to raise capital and how to handle financial structure and capital structure policies. E-MBA531 Stratejik Yönetim (Strategic Management) (3 credits) The objective of this course is to introduce the key concepts, tools, and principles of strategy formulation and competitive analysis. It is concerned with managerial decisions and actions that affect the performance and survival of business enterprises. The course is focused on the information, analyses, organizational processes, and skills and business judgment managers must use to devise strategies, position their businesses, define firm boundaries and maximize long-term profits in the face of uncertainty and competition. Strategic Management is an integrative and interdisciplinary course. It assumes a broad view of the environment that includes buyers, suppliers, competitors, technology, the economy, capital markets, government, and global forces and views the external environment as dynamic and characterized by uncertainty. In studying strategy, the course draws together and builds on all the ideas, concepts, and theories from your functional courses such as Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Organizational Behavior, and Statistics. E-MBA504 İşletme Ekonomisi (Business Economics) (3 credits) The purpose of this course is to cover micro aspects of the economic analysis from the perspective of the business units. The indivdual consumer behavior and the firm specific desicion manking processes are going to be discussed by focusing on the market structure that two sides integrate in. E-MBA501 Blog (Blog) (3 credits) The purpose of this course is to introduce the techniques of digital environment. Ability to build a new blog from server based blogging platforms such as blogger, wordpress and tumbIr. Learning how to change the design and styling upload your content and maintain the site yourself with the free-to-use blogging platforms. The blogosphere is where social media combines with content to produce ground-breaking outreach and impact for your organization. This course explores the reasons why blogging is today’s most popular area for businesses to spend marketing dollars, and gives you some of the hands-on skills you need to get started yourself. Set up a blog, develop content, learn about RSS, comments, and integration with social networking sites. The class includes real-world case studies and a forum for brainstorming and discussion.
