İnsanın en büyük sorumlusunun öğretmen- leri olduğunu ifade eden Bilgin, konuşmasını şöyle sürdürdü: “Bilindiği üzere 24 Kasım 1928, devletimizin kurucusu Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’ün başöğretmenliğini kabul ettiği gündür. Peygamberimizin (s.a.v) vahiy yoluyla Cebrail (a.s) aldığı ilk beş ayetten söz ederek meseleyi açıyoruz. Alak Suresi’nin ilk beş ayetini arz edeceğiz. Biliyorsunuz vahiy bu ayetlerle başladı. Bu ayetlerin her birisi ayrı bir ders, ayrı bir konferans konusudur. “Yaradan Rabbinin adıyla oku! O İnsanı alaktan yarattı. Oku! Senin Rabbin en cömert olandır. O kalemle yazmayı öğretendir insana. İnsana bilmediğini öğretendir.” Öğrenmenin ve öğret- menin ana fikri bu ayetlerin özünde mevcuttur. Allah verdiği ilk mesajda Peygamberimizin (s.a.v) ve bütün insanlığın okuması gerektiğini bildirmiş oluyor.
Hz. Ömer döneminde yaşamış olan Hz. Ebu’d Derda, Peygam- berimiz’den (s.a.v) duyduğunu şu şekilde aktarıyor. “Resulullah’ın (s.a.v) şöyle dediğini işittim. Kim ilim için yola çıkarsa, Allah ona cennete giren yolu kolaylaştırır. Melekler hoşnutlukların- dan dolayı ilim talebesine kanatlarını serer. Sudaki balıklara varıncaya kadar yer ve gök ehli alim kişinin bağışlanması için Allah’a yakarır. Alimin (öğrenci, öğretmen, ilim adamı) ibadet edene üstünlüğü, ayın diğer yıldızlara olan üstünlüğü gibidir. Kuşkusuz alimler Peygamberlerin varisleridir. Peygamberler miras olarak ne altın ne de gümüş bırakmışlardır. Onların yegane mirası ilimdir. Kim o ilmi alırsa büyük bir pay almış olur.” İslam medeniyetinde ilmin irfanın ne kadar önem taşıdığını binlerce örnekle anlatmak mümkün.
Bedir Savaşı sonrasında müşriklerden 70 kişi biliyorsunuz ki esir oldu. Bu esir olanları bir bedel karşılığında, para karşılığında serbest bırakıyorlardı. Ancak içlerinde para verme imkanı olan- ların çok az olduğu görülünce Peygamberimiz (s.a.v) şöyle bir çare ortaya koydu; “Kim Medineli gençlere, on gence okuma yazmayı öğretirse o zaman o da serbest kalacaktır.” Bu konu- da okumanın ve yazmanın ne kadar önemli olduğunu ortaya koyuyor.”
Bilgin, son olarak Nurettin Topçu’nun Türkiye’nin Maarif Davası kitabından bir kısım aktararak katılımcıların sorularını cevap- landırdı.
Konferansın sonunda bir teşekkür konuşması yapan Üniversite- miz Rektörü Prof. Dr. Mustafa Talha Gönüllü, unutulmayacak bir öğretmenler günü olduğunu ve Adıyaman eğitimine hayatını adayan Şemsettin Bilgin’e ve katılımcılara teşekkür etti. Ardın- dan Bilgin’e Adıyaman Üniversitesi Tabağı’nı ve Adıyaman’ın tarihi ve turistik yerlerinden olan Cendere Köprüsü’nün maketini hediye etti.

We open the matter by mentioning the first five verses of our Prophet (pbuh) taken from Gabriel (pbuh) through revelation. We will present the first five verses of Alak Sura. You know that revelation began with these verses. Each of these verses is a separate lesson, a separate conference. “Read in the Name of the Lord from the Creator! He created humankind from a distance. Read! Your Lord is the most generous. The lord is the one teaches man to write with that pen. The lord is the one that teaches man what he does not know. “The main idea of learning and teaching lies at the core of these verses. The first message that Allah has given is that the Prophet (pbuh) and all humanity should read.
Hazrat Abu’d Derda, who lived in the time of Hazrat Umar, conveys what he heard from our Prophet (pbuh). “I heard that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: Whoever leads the way for science, Allah makes it easy for him to enter the path. The angels open their wings to the inquiry because of their satisfaction. From the fish in the water to the abundance and the sky will call on Allah for the forgiveness of the learned person. Wise’s (student, teacher, and scholar) supremacy over other worshippers is like a supremacy of the moon over other stars. Certainly, scholars are the heirs of the Prophets. The prophets did not inherit gold or silver. Their sole inheritance is science. Whoever gets that knowledge will have a big share.” It is possible to explain with the thousands of examples of how important it is in the Islamic civilization.
ou know 70 of the polytheists were captured. They freed those who were prisoners for a price, against money. However, when it was thought that there were very few who could afford mon- ey, our Prophet (pbuh) put forward such a solution; “Whoever teaches young people of Medina, ten young people to read and write, then he will be free.” This shows how important it is to read and write. “
Bilgin finally responded to the questions of the participants by citing a part from the book named Turkey’s Education Case, by Nurettin Topçu.
Our University Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Talha Gönüllü, pre- sented his gratitude to the participants, andstated that this is a Teacher’s Day to remember and Şemsettin Bilgin who devoted his life to Adıyaman’s education. Then, he presented Bilgin the plate of Adıyaman University and model of Cendere Bridge, which is one of the historical and touristic places of Adıyaman.
