Amacı / Purpose Bu dersin amacı;

a) alg, mantar ve bitkilerin taksonomisinde uyulması gereken kuralları, b) yeni takson tanımlama ve isimlendirme prensipleri,

c) taksonomide istikrar sağlamak için isim ret etmeyi ve isim korumayı, ve d) tipifikasyonu

öğretmektir. "Alg, Mantar ve Bitki Adlandırmasının Uluslararası Kuralları" altı yılda bir güncellendiğinden, kuralların güncel bilgileri, geçmişteki durumlarıyla değerlendirilerek öğrenciye aktarılacaktır. Ders, özellikle alg, mantar (liken dahil) ve bitki sistematiğinde çalışacak veya gelecekte revizyon yapacak öğrencilere önerilmektedir.

The aim of this course is to teach:

a) the rules ought to be followed during naming algae, fungi and plants b) principles of defining and naming a new taxon

c) rejection or conservation of a name to stabilize taxonomy, and d) typification.

"International Code of Nomenclature for Algae, Fungi, and Plants" is updated every six year. The latest applications of the code, as well as its history, are subjects to this course. This course is recommended to students especially working on systematics, or having willingness for a revision.

İçeriği / Content "International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants", alg, mantar ve bitkilerin isimlendirilmesinde yerine getirilmesi gereken kuralları yazmaktadır. Bu kurallar altı yılda bir düzenlenmektedir. Bu derste, bu kuralların değiştirilme süreci anlatılacak, kurallar öğretilecek ve değişen kuralların değişmeden önceki uygulanışı anlatılacaktır.

The rules for naming algae, fungi and plants are defined in the "International Code of Nomenclature for Algae, Fungi, and Plants", which is updated in every six year. In this course, the changes (history) of these rules will be explained, these rules will be introduced, and the former applications prior to these changes will be illustrated.
