Machine/Computer vision

Machine vision or computer vision deals with developing a system in which the input is an image and the output is some information. For example: Face Recognition System

Computer graphics

Computer graphics deals with the formation of images from object models, For example: Object rendering. Generating an image from an object model.

Signal Processing

Signal processing involves image processing. The amount of light reflected by an object in the physical world (3d world) is pass through the lens of the

camera and it becomes a 2d signal and hence result in image formation. This image is then digitized using methods of signal processing and then this

digital image is manipulated in DIP
