Özellikle okullarda bağlanma gibi öznel yaşantıların ölçülmesi veya anlaşılması zor görünmektedir. Bu konuya ilişkin doğrudan sorular çocuğu yanlış yanıtlar vermeye veya direnç göstermeye itebilir. Bu anlamda bir problem durumundan şüphelenen uzman, çocukla çalışırken KYÇ’yi bir buz kırıcı gibi kullanmalı, gözlem, ölçekler, aile ziyaretleri gibi çalışmalarla desteklemelidir. Bu desenlemede yürütülen çalışmalarda derinlemesine ve doğru bilgiye ulaşmak mümkün görünmektedir.

İkinci olarak çizimin sağaltıcı işlevi kapsamında uzman çocuktan hem bilgi alabileceği hem de onu terapötik anlamda destekleyebileceği bu yöntemi kullandığında çocuğu aynı zamanda paylaşımda bulunması, rehberlik servisine gelmesi veya kendini açması konusunda pekiştirmiş olacaktır. Bu durum, hem uzmanın doğru bilgiye ulaşmasında hem de çocuğun bireysel fayda sağlamasında doğrudan işlevsel bir yol olacaktır.

Uygulama gerçekleştirilirken, araştırmanın sınırlıklarından biri olan çocukla güvenli ilişkinin kurulması basamağı üzerinde durulmalı, çocuğun güvenli ve kendini rahat hissedeceği tehditkâr olmayan bir ortam sağlandıktan sonra çalışma gerçekleştirilmelidir.
