Effects of chlorella on the lipid metabolism in rats

中文摘要

本實驗之目的為探討在高油脂、高膽固醇飲食條件下綠藻對大白鼠體內脂質代謝

的影響。實驗分為兩大部分進行,實驗一為給予正常大白鼠高油脂、高膽固醇飲

食中同時添加 0%、1%、5%、10%綠藻之情形下,探討綠藻對於大白鼠高脂血症

之預防效果。實驗二則是在高脂血症大白鼠飲食中添加 0%、1%、5%及 10%綠

藻,探討綠藻對於高脂血症之改善效果。實驗期均為八週。結果顯示: 對於持續

餵食高油脂、高膽固醇飲食的大白鼠,同時添加 1%、5%、10%的綠藻可降低其

血漿總膽固醇(TC)

、三酸肝油酯(TG)和低密度脂蛋白膽固醇(LDL-C)的濃

度,而肝中的 TC 成分與 0%組比較 AD+1%、5%、10%組各降低 30%、68%、77%,

肝中的 TG 成分與 0%組比較各綠藻添加組則各降低 50%、67%、68%,但其糞

便固醇量和膽酸量則無明顯差異。對於高脂血症大白鼠在回復正常飲食時,若無

補充綠藻其血脂質在第 8 週時仍高於對照組,但添加綠藻各組其血漿 TC、TG

和 LDL-C 的濃度皆已下降,而 HDL-C 濃度也明顯較高,而肝中的 TC 成分與 0%

組比較下 1%、5%、10%組則各降低 63%、62%、51%,肝中的 TG 成分與 0%組

比較各綠藻添加組則各降低 61%、73%、81%。由以上結果可知,添加綠藻可降

低血脂質濃度並抑制肝臟脂質的堆積。

英文摘要

The effects of chlorella on the lipid metabolism in Wistar male rats were investigated in this study. Two different feed regiments were designed to test the hypolipidemic function of chlorella. In the first regiments, chlorella (0%,1%, 5% and 10%) was added to the high fat and high cholesterol diet at the same time for feeding normal rats, and prevention of hyperlipidemia by chlorella was tested(testⅠ).In the second regiment, chlorella (0%,1%, 5% and 10%)was added to the diet for feeding the hyperlipidemia in rats, and the hypolipidemic effects of chlorella were

investigated(testⅡ).In the test Ⅰthe results showed that the concentrations of plasma total cholesterol, triglyceride and LDL-C were significantly lower in1%,5% and 10% group than 0% group. In liver lipid contents, the concentrations of cholesterol and triglyceride in 1%,5% and 10% group were also significantly lower than 0% group(↓30%、68%、77%;50%、67%、68%). However , cholesterol and bile acid in feces had not significantly different in each group. In the test Ⅱ, the results showed that the concentrations of plasma lipid were also higher in

total cholesterol ,triglyceride and LDL-C and the increase of plasma HDL-C were faster in 1% ,5% and 10%chlorella group than in 0% group. Furthermore, the inhibition of cholesterol and triglycerid accumulation were also observed in chlorella feeding group(TC↓63%、62%、51%;TG↓61%、73%、81%). Therefore, chlorella exactly has the hypolipidemic functions and inhibits the cholesterol and triglycerid accumulation in liver.
