4TL Avrasya Nükleer Bilimler ve Uygulamaları’ Konferansı oturumları, Kazakistan Milli Bilimler Akademisi ile “Kazakistan Oteli” konferans ve toplantı salonlarında düzenlenm iş olup, “Radyoaktif Kirliliğe Karşı Çevrenin Korunması” Çalışma Grubu Toplantısı “Kazakistan Oteli” konferans salonunda yapılmıştır. Konferans ve Çalışma Grubu Toplantısı Açılış ve Kapanış oturumları Kazakistan Milli Bilimler Akademisi konferans salonunda birlikte düzenlenmiştir.

Institute o f Nuclear Physics,

took place.

The sessio n s o f the c o n feren ce were conducted at the conference halls o f the Kazakhstan National Academy o f Science and the Kazakhstan Hotel, which was also where the workshop was held. The opening and closing sessions o f the conference and the workshop were held jointly at the conference hall o f the Kazakhstan Academy o f National Sciences.

Konferans ve Çalışma Grubu Toplantısına Azerbaycan, Kazakistan, Kırgızistan, Özbekistan ve Türkiye'nin yanısıra ABD, Beyaz Rusya, Bulgaristan, Çek Cumhuriyeti, İtalya, Mısır, Norveç, Polonya, Rusya, Slovakya, Tacikistan, Tataristan, Ukrayna ve UAEA'dan toplam 300 dolayında uzman ve bilim adamı bildiri sunmak üzere katılmıştır.

Over 300 experts and scientists fro m A z e r b a ija n , K a z a k h s ta n , K y r g y z s ta n , Uzbekistan and Turkey as well as USA, Belarus, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Italy, Egypt, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Ukraine and the IAEA attended the conference to make presentations.

II “II. Avrasya Nükleer Bilimler ve Uygulamaları” Konferansı Genel Oturum ve Nükleer Enerji, Nükleer Fiziğin Temel Problemleri, Katı M addelerin R adyasyon Fiziği, N ükleer T eknolojinin Endüstri, Tıp ve Tarım da Uygulanması başlıklı oturumlarında 238 sözlü ve 93 poster olmak üzere 331 bildiri sunulmuştur. “Radyoaktif Kirliliğe K a r ş ı Ç e v r e n i n Korunması” Çalışma Grubu Toplantısında 40 sözlü ve 35 poster o l ma k ü z e r e 75 bildiri tartışılmıştır. Konferansa sunulan bildiriler Konferansı düzenleyen kuruluş t a r a f ı n d a n ki t a p halinde hazırlanarak y a y ı n l a n m ı ş t ı r .

NATO Çalışma Grubu Toplantısı bildirileri NATO yayını olarak kitap halinde basılmıştır.

Konferans ve Çalışma Grubu Toplantısı NATO, İKB, ISTC gibi Uluslararası kuruluşlar tarafından da desteklenmiştir.

Konferans ve Çalışma Grubu Toplantısının açılışında bu organizasyondan sorum lu Kazakistan Nükleer Fizik Enstitüsü Müdürü Kairad Kadyrzhanov ve Türkiye Atom Enerjisi Kurumu TÜDNAEM Merkez Müdürü Nevzat Birsen konuşmalarında özetle; Türkçe Konuşan Ülkeler arasında nükleer alanda işbirliği kurmak için TAEK'in girişimleri ile 1997 yılı ortasından itibaren yoğun bir şekilde yürütülen faaliyetlerin söz konusu ülkeler tarafından da desteklenerek nükleer alanda işbirliği protokolları imzalandığı ve bu işbirliği protokolları kapsamında 23 -27 Ekim 2000 tarihlerinde TAEK

which were oral and 35 posters, were discussed. The fu ll texts o f the presentations o f the Conference were collected in a book by the organizer o f the Conference. The full texts o f the presentations o f the workshop have been compiled and published as the NATO preceeding. The workshop was supported by international organizations such as the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), and the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) as well as NATO. In the opening o f the conference and the workshop the Director o f the Kazakhstan In s titu te o f N u c le a r P h y sic s, K a ira d Kadyrzhanov and the Director o f the TUDNAEM Center-Turkish Atomic Energy Authority, Nevzat Birsen addressed the participants. In summary, they mentioned that as a result o f the initiation o f TAEA, activities supported by the Turkish Sp e a k in g C o u n tr ie s h a d been

Avrasya Nükleer Bülteninin ilk sayısının yayınlandığını, Konferans ve Çalışma Grubu Toplantısının bu işbirliğinin başarılı bir örneği olduğunu ifade ederek tüm katılımcılarına, destek veren ülke ve kuruluşlara teşekkürlerini sundular. Konferans sırasında Kazakistan Nükleer Fizik Enstitüsü tarafından üretilen cihazlar ve sistemlerin sergilendiği stand çok sayıda katılımcı tarafından ziyaret edilmiş, ayrıca Kazakistan Nükleer Fizik Enstitüsü laboratuar ve tesislerinde incelemelerde bulunulmuştur.

Konferans ve Çalışma Grubu Toplantısı sonunda düzenlenen Kapanış Oturumunda genel bir değerlendirme yapılarak Konferans ve Çalışma Grubu Toplantısı Sonuç Bildirisi yayınlanmıştır.

Kapanış Oturumu

Kapanış oturumunda, Azerbaycan, Kazakistan, Kırgızistan ve Özbekistan temsilcileri, Türkiye Atom Enerjisi Kurumu'nun Avrasya ülkeleri ile nükl eer alanda işbirliği f aal iyet lerini n geliştirilmesinde öncülük yapmakta olduğunu ve bu hususun ülkeleri tarafından da

desteklendiğini belirterek Konferans ve Çalışma Grubu Toplantısı'nın bu i ş b i r l i ği ni n b a ş a r ı l ı bi r ö r n e ğ i o l d u ğ u n u vurgulamışlar d ı r . Konferans ve Ç a l ı ş m a G r u b u T o p 1 a n 11 s ı f a a l i y e t l e r i Kazakistan TV ve yazılı basınında da geniş bir şekilde yer almış olup, bu faaliyetlerin Avrasya ülkeleri

arasında nükleer enerjinin barışçıl uygulama alanlarında yürütülen işbirliğine önemli katkı sağlayacağı ifade edilmiştir.

Konferans ve Çalışma Grubu Toplantısı Sonuç Bildirisi

Kazakhstan Institute o f Nuclear Physics; the first issue o f the Eurasia Nuclear Bulletin had been published so as to inform each other as regards the activities being carried out in our respective countries in the peaceful uses o f nuclear energy; and that the conference and the workshop were excellent examples o f this cooperation, and they extended their thanks to all the participants and the contributing countries and organizations. The stands at the conference which displayed devices and systems produced by the Kazakhstan Institute o f Nuclear Physics were visited by the participants and the laboratories and the facilities o f the Institute were visited.

During the Closing Session o f the conference and workshop a general assessment was made and the declaration statement o f the Conference and Workshop were annonsed.

The Closing Session

The re p re s e n ta tiv e s from A ze rb a ija n , K a za kh sta n , K yrgyzstan and

Uzbekistan stated during the Closing Session that TALA led the way in the development o f c o o p e r a t i o n efforts among E u r a s i a n cou n tries in the n u c le a r f i e l d a n d expressed their support on the matter; stressing that the conference and the workshop had been a good example o f this cooperation. The conference and the workshop were covered in great detail in the Kazakhstan media and TV, which pointed out that these efforts would contribute greatly to the cooperation among Eurasian countries in the peaceful uses o f nuclear energy.

Söz konusu organizasyonun, Konferans ve Çalışma Grubu Toplantısı katılımcıları tarafından başarılı ve verimli olduğu ifade edilmiş, Konferans ve Çalışma Grubu Toplantısı Sonuç Bildirisinde aşağıdaki hususlara yer verilmiştir: “III. Etkinlikleri

Konferans ve Çalışma Grubu Toplantısı sırasında bi l i ms el et ki nl i kl er i n yanısıra, sosyal ve kültürel f a a l i y e t l e r d e düzenlenmiştir. Konferans ve Ç a l ı ş m a G r u b u Toplantısı açılış günü “ G e l e n e k s e l T ü r k Sanatları ve Tarihi” ile i l g i l i b i r s e m i n e r verilmiştir.

Kazakistan Nükleer Fizik Enstitüsü t ar afı ndan düzenl enen gör keml i Açılış Kokteylinde Kazak yiyecek ve içecekleri ikram edilmiş, Kazak müziği ve halk dansları gösterileri sunulm uştur. Açılış K okteylinde ayrıca, Almatı'daki Türk Büyükelçiliğinin temininde yardımcı olduğu bir Türk Halk Dansları Ekibi gösteriler sunmuştur.

Konferans ve Çalışma Grubu Toplantısı sırasında oluşturulan Türkiye Standında Avrasya Nükleer Bülteninin ilk sayısı dağıtılmış, Türkiye Turizm Bakanlığindan temin edilen Türkiye'nin tarihi- turistik yörelerini tanıtıcı CD'ler bilgisayar ortamında gösterilmiş ve broşürler dağıtılmış, Malatya Belediyesinin katkıları ile temin edilen bu yörenin kuru meyvelerinden hazırlanmış ürünler ikram edilmiştir. Konferans sırasında Almatı şehir turu düzenlenmiştir.

Kazakistan Nükleer Fizik Enstitüsü, Konferans ve Çalışma Grubu Toplantısı ile aynı tarihlere rastgelen kuruluş yıldönümünü kutlamak için Enstitü bahçesinde çeşitli etkinliklerin yer aldığı görkemli bir tören düzenlemiştir. Kuruluş töreni Enstitüsü çalışanlarının yanısıra tüm katılımcılar tarafından da coşku ile kutlanmıştır.

he Social Activities at the Conference and Workshop

During the conference and the workshop not only scientific, but also social and cultural activities took place. On the opening day, a seminar on “Traditional Turkish Arts and History" was given.

In the magnificent opening reception organized by the Kazakhstan Institute o f Nuclear Physics, traditional dishes and drinks from Kazakhstan were served, Kazakh music played and Kazakh folk dances performed. A Turkish fo lk dancing group, organized by the Turkish Embassy in Almaty, also performed. A city tour o f Almaty was also organized.

At the Turkish chalet at the conference and workshop, the first issue o f the Eurasia Nuclear Bulletin w?as given out, CDs about

the historical jg I and touristic regions in Turkey

were played and brochures handed out as well as dried f r u i t s c o n t r i b u t e d by the

Municipality o f Malatya, where they were produced.

The Kazakhstan Institute o fA Nuclear Physics organized a glorious ceremony in which there were many activities in the Institute gardens to celebrate the anniversary> o f , the day it was founded, which coincided with the date o f the conference and workshop. Those working in the Institute as well as all
