BIO-360 BIOCHEMISTRY LABORATORY II

• VI. WEEK

(2)

6th WEEK

PROTEIN ESTIMATION BY LOWRY and BIURET METHODS

(3)

In practice, Lowry and Biüret methods which are based on colorimetric change and frequently preferred in quantitative determination of proteins will be applied.

(4)

Protein samples will be used in protein determination which students purified in previous courses (liver tissue, bacterial culture).

Students will be organized into groups of three before the study.

(5)

All consumables, chemicals, laboratory equipment, especially glassware, and machinery and equipment will be provided as required.

(6)

It will be reminded that each student will be responsible for the issues given to all other groups within the application.

(7)

Students will be asked to report their observations and results within the scope of the application to the test report immediately given to them.

(8)

Students will be asked to remove any materials they use, and they will be expected to assist in cleaning.

(9)

After the laboratory safety and cleanliness is ensured, the students will be allowed to leave.
