20. yy başından yeni milenyumun ilk on yılına kadar mimarlık teorilerinin gelişimi. Mimarlık tarihine kendi fikirleriyle iştirak eden ana mimarlar ve teorisyenler. Son yüzyıl içinde mimarlık alanında teorinin evrimi.
The development of theories of architecture from the beginning of the 20th Century up to the first decade of the new millennium. The main architects and theorists who contributed in the history of the architecture with their own ideas. The evolution of the theory in the field of architecture in the last one hundred years.

1. Introduction of the theories of Architecture in the 20th Century
2. Discussion of the most important architectural theories that influenced the practice of Modern and Contemporary Architecture
3. Understanding the Contemporary tendencies of Architecture through a critical approach

Bu dersi başarıyla tamamlayan Doktora öğrencileri aşağıdaki konularda bilgi, beceri ve yetkinlik kazanırlar;
1. 20.yy boyunca mimarlık teorilerinin gelişimlerini anlama 2. Mimarlık teorilerini anlama, analiz etme ve değerlendirme
3. Mimarlık teorileri arasındaki farkları son yüzyıl içinde mimari panoramanın başrol oyuncularını göz önünde bulundurarak analiz etme ve değerlendirme
4. Mimarlık teorilerinin çağdaş günlerde mimarlık pratiğine etkilerini değerlendirme
Ph.D. students who successfully pass this course gain knowledge, skill and competency in the following subjects;
1. To understand the development of theories in architecture throughout the 20th Century 2. To understand, analyze and evaluate the architectural theories
3. To analyze and evaluate the differences of architectural theories, according to the main protagonists of the architectural panorama in the last one hundred years
4. To evaluate in the contemporary days the impact of the architectural theories in the practice of architecture
