GİRİŞ
Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu (TÜİK), Türkiye'de toplum içerisinde kadın ve erkek arasındaki farklılıkların ortaya konulması, toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliğinin sağlanması, kadının toplum içindeki yerinin belirlenmesi ve sosyo-ekonomik kalkınma içinde kadının katkısının güçlendirilmesi amacıyla ulusal ve uluslararası politikaların üretilmesi, geliştirilmesi ve değerlendirilmesi için gerekli olan güvenilir ve güncel istatistikleri üretmektedir.
Fırsatları kullanmada, kaynakların ayrılmasında ve hizmetlere ulaşmada bireyin cinsiyeti nedeni ile ayrımcılığa maruz kalmaması ve kadınların sosyal ve ekonomik konumlarınının iyileştirilmesi için sorumluluğu bulunan tüm taraflarca çalışmalar yapılması gerektiği bir gerçektir. Bu amaçla, toplumsal cinsiyet konusunda ulusal ve uluslararası ihtiyaçlara cevap verecek bir veri seti oluşturulmuştur.
Raporda, nüfus, doğurganlık, sağlık, engellilik, evlilik, aile hayatı, boşanma, eğitim, iş gücü, seçilmiş meslekler, iş ve kazanç memnuniyeti, siyasal yaşam, şiddet ve suç, zaman kullanımı, yoksulluk ve ölümlülük konuları ile birlikte Sürdürülebili Kalkınma Göstergeleri “Amaç 5- Toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliğinin sağlanması ve tüm kadınların ve kız çocuklarının güçlenmesi” başlığı altındaki göstergeler kapsanmıştır. Bu alanların her biri için mevcut durumu kadın erkek ayrımında analiz edilmesine olanak veren tablolara yer verilmiştir.
INTRODUCTION
Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) produces reliable and timely statistics to bring out, to develop and to evaluate national and international policies, to reveal the differences between men and women in society in Turkey, to ensure social gender equality, to determine the place of women in society and to strengthen the women’s contribution in the socio-economic development.
It is a fact that studies should be carried out by all sides who have the responsibility to ensure that an individual does not experience the discriminition in making use of opportunities, resourcing allocation and getting services because of his/her gender and to improve the social and economic position of women. With this purpose a data set was developed to meet the national and international data requirements on gender issues.
In this report, in addition to the topics such as population, fertility, health, disability, marriage, family life, divorce, education, labour force, selected occupations, satisfaction from work and earning, political life, violence and crime, time use, poverty and mortality, the indicators under the heading of “Goal 5 - Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls” of Sustainable Development Indicators are also included. Tables analyzing the present situation in these fields with the differentiation of women and men are given.
AMAÇ
Bu rapor, kadın ve erkek arasındaki sosyal, ekonomik ve kültürel konularda eşitsizliği vurgulayan göstergeleri ortaya koymak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır.
KAPSAM
Rapor, zaman serisi oluşturacak biçimde Türkiye toplamı, İBBS 1.
Düzey (12 bölge), İBBS 2. Düzey (26 bölge) ve İBBS 3. Düzey (81 il) kırılımında en güncel verileri içermektedir.

Raporda yer alan veriler, kurumun ilgili birimlerinden ve çeşitli kamu kurum ve kuruluşlarının ve üniversitelerin idari kayıtları ve anketlerinden yararlanılarak derlenmiştir.

COVERAGE
The report is available to form a time series comprises the most recent year data, and also contains the following breakdowns the total of Turkey, the NUTS 1 level (12 regions) NUTS 2 level (26 regions) and NUTS 3 level (81 provinces).
DATA SOURCES
The data has been collected in this report by surveys and administrative registers from the various institutions and organizations and universities.
