Yüksekö¤retim Dergisinin Sayg›de¤er Okurlar›,
Bu say› ile birlikte Yüksekö¤retim Dergisi’nin beflinci cildine ulafl-m›fl durumday›z. Bu baflar›da okurlar›m›z›n, yazarlar›m›z›n, dan›flma kurulumuzun ve hakemlerimizin çok büyük katk›s› vard›r. Verilen des-tekle, bafllang›çta konulan hedeflere yaklaflman›n verdi¤i güven ve mutluluk nedeniyle herkese teflekkür ederiz.
Ülkemizde giderek artan üniversite say›s›, dünyadaki yeni e¤ilim-ler, yüksekö¤retimde yönetim, kalite/akreditasyon/kurumsal de¤erlen-dirme, finans yönetimi, yenilikçilik/giriflimcilik gibi ana konularda bil-gi ve tecrübe birikimine olan ihtiyac› art›rmaktad›r.
Yüksekö¤retim Dergisi dördüncü cildinin say›lar›nda, stratejik yö-netim, lisansüstü e¤itimde sorunlar, yüksekö¤retime geçifl sistemi, üni-versite sanayi iflbirli¤i gibi ana konularla birlikte bugüne kadar ele al›n-mam›fl, tart›fl›lmam›fl konulara el atan yaz›lara yer verip yüksekö¤retim alan›nda bilgi ve tecrübe havuzunun geliflmesine katk› sa¤lamaya çal›fl-t›k.
Bilindi¤i gibi Yüksekö¤retim Dergisi, Yüksekö¤retim Strateji ve Araflt›rma Derne¤i’nin (YÖSAD) bir yay›n organ›d›r. Önümüzdeki günlerde derne¤imizin web sitesi düzenlenip, yüksekö¤retimle ilgili güncel haber ve bilgilerin yer ald›¤› bir yüksekö¤retim portal› haline getirilecek, yüksekö¤retimde önemli konularda sorunlar› tart›fl›p ak›lc› çözüm üretmeye imkan verecek çal›flmalara bafllanacakt›r.
Dergimizin makale kabul ve de¤erlendirme ifllemlerinin k›sa süre içinde tamamen web tabanl› olarak yap›lmaya bafllanaca¤› müjdesini de paylaflmak isteriz. Böylece makale de¤erlendirme ve yay›mlanma sü-reçlerini h›zland›rmay› amaçl›yoruz. Yüksekö¤retim konusunda yaz›la-r›n›z ve yay›nlanan yaz›lar konusunda görüflleriniz dergimizin geliflme-sine ve ülkemiz yüksekö¤retiminde bilgi ve tecrübe birikiminin artma-s›na imkan verecektir.
Beflinci cilt say›lar›n›n zaman›nda ve her zamanki gibi içerik ve fi-ziksel özellikler aç›s›ndan kalite çizgisinden ödün vermeksizin bas›l›p alt›nc› cildin ilk say›s›nda buluflmak umuduyla.

Dear Readers of the Journal of Higher Education,
Together with this issue, we have reached the fifth volume of our journal. Our authors, advisory board and peer reviews have contributed us in this achievement. With this support, we would like to thank all for the confi-dence and joy provided by the feeling of reaching the targets established in the beginning.
The growing number of universities in Turkey increases the need for knowledge and experience in various fields such as new trends in the world, management in higher education, quality/accreditation/institutional assess-ment, financial manageassess-ment, and innovation/entrepreneurship.
In fourth volume’s issues of Yüksekö¤retim Dergisi / Journal of Higher Education, we tried to contribute to the increase of knowledge and experience pool in higher education field by publishing papers addressing the topics which have not been discussed yet together with the main topics such as strategic man-agement, problems in postgraduate education, the system of transition to high-er education and collaboration between univhigh-ersities and industry etc.
As known, Yüksekö¤retim Dergisi / Journal of Higher Education is an official publication of the Higher Education Strategy and Research Association (YÖSAD). In the following days, the website of our association will be organized and become a higher education portal including current news and information about higher education, and it will serve as a plat-form enabling to discuss and offer reasonable solutions for significant prob-lems in the higher education.
We also gladly inform you that an online submission and peer review system for our journal will be introduced soon. In this way, we aim to speed up paper submission and publication processes. Your papers on higher edu-cation and your opinions about published papers will help to reinforce our journal and to increase the experience and knowledge base on higher educa-tion in Turkey.
Hope to meet you in the first issue of the sixth volume by publishing the issues of the fifth volume on time and without compromising its quality in terms of content and physical properties as usual.
