This paper informs about a methodology and resuls of a needs analysis study which investigated students’ needs in one medical faculty in EFL context. The participants are 173 medical students from first to sixth classes and 58 academicians working at the context of the study. The results revealed that participants give importance to both English for medical purposes and general academic purposes. While all the skills were reported to be important for EMP students, reading was reported to be the most prominantly important one for their career. Mostly academicians put emphasis on writing skills considering research purposes and article writing for their Professional lives. Another important finding is that both parties put emphasis on using technoloy to teach and to practice English which is in line with the literature. Suggestions for effective curriculum have been provided.
