Teknik Bilimler Meslek Yüksekokulu Konser ve Gösteri Alanı’nda düzenlenen tören, öğrencilerin geçişinin ardından saygı duruşu ve İstiklal Marşı ile başladı. Ardından Sosyal Bilimler MYO birincisi Osman KAYA, Sosyal Bilimler MYO Müdürü Doç. Dr. Mehmet YILDIZ ve Üniversitemiz Rektörü Prof. Dr. Mustafa Talha GÖNÜLLÜ birer konuşma gerçekleştirdi. Daha sonra bölüm birinci, ikinci ve üçüncülerine hediyeler verilerek, mezuniyet kütü- ğüne plaket çakıldı. Törenin sonunda diplomalarını alan öğrenciler hep birlikte kep fırlattı.

The ceremony organized at Concert and Performan- ce Area of the Technical Sciences Higher Vocational School began with one minute’s silence and the Nati- onal Anthem after the parade of the students. After that, Osman KAYA, the student ranking as the first of Higher Vocational School of Social Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet YILDIZ, the President of the Scho- ol of Higher Education of Social Sciences, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Talha GÖNÜLLÜ, the Rector of our University each made a speech. After that, presents were given to the students who ranked as the first, second and third of their department, and a plaqu- et was nailed to the graduation register block. The students who took their diplomas at the end of the ceremony threw their graduation caps all together.

words, but with numbers. Our University received a quality certificate from 2 different enterprises. We are graduating you from a university which has succeeded this. Two days ago, with the arrival of TSI (Turkish Standards Institute) to our University, we took our ISO 9001 education quality certificate. We have become the 25th university that received a qu- ality certificate from TSI in Turkey. It is difficult for the universities to receive a quality certificate. This requires an important struggle, organization, diligent work, infrastructure and human resources.
As your rector and teacher, I would like to give you some pieces of advice. With these pieces of informa- tion you have learned, surely you will accomplish many things. You have learned a lot of things from your teachers. What you have learned here will not be enough for you. You will improve yourself at all times. As students who have graduated from here, you will prove yourselves.
Don’t be someone who does not fancy any jobs. There is no small job or a big job. First of all, you need to evaluate in the best way the opportunities that you have, and prove yourself. You also need to improve yourself in terms of your thoughts. As a result of this, you will be beneficial for the institutions and organi-
zations for which you are working and your country. Listen to your elderly and respect them. Respect your elderly in your work place and each section of the society. Know the value of your families.
We have embraced you. We’ve been working to fulfil our responsibility as much as we could. You are responsible against the society, too. Serve those who will come after you in the best way. Be honest, be true. It is not possible for the communities who are not truthful to develop.
The universities are responsible in arranging the future of the society and seeing the state of affairs and tell about it in terms of designing the society. The biggest concern about our future is the late marria- ges. Marriages should not be delayed. Late marriages are causing huge wounds in the society. In addition, a great risk in terms of the increase of the young population is at issue. Your families will also do the best they can with respect to this. Do not neglect your marriage while you are doing your career. Do not think that it can be made ahead of time. We are obliged to constitute the future generations. I believe that you will realize this without any neglect. Young people, be faithful, right, hard-working, productive, self-improving and thinking people.”

İki gün önce TSE Başkanı’nın Üniversitemize teşrifiyle İSO 9001 eğitim kalite belgemizi almış bu- lunuyoruz. Türkiye’de TSE’den kalite belgesi alan 25. üniversite olduk. Üniversitelerin kalite belgesi alması güçtür. Bu, önemli bir uğraşıyı, organizasyonu, gay- retli çalışmayı, altyapıyı, insan kaynağını gerektirir. Sizlere Rektör hocanız olarak birkaç tavsiyede bu- lunmak istiyorum. Bu öğrendiğiniz bilgilerle mutla- ka birçok işler başaracaksınız. Hocalarınızdan birçok şey öğrendiniz. Burada öğrendikleriniz size yetme- yecektir. Siz her zaman kendinizi geliştireceksiniz. Buradan mezun olmuş öğrenciler olarak kendinizi ispat edeceksiniz.
İş beğenmezlik yapmayınız. Küçük iş, büyük iş yoktur. Öncelikle karşınıza çıkan fırsatları en iyi şekilde değerlendirmeniz, kendinizi ispat etmeniz gerekmektedir. Kendinizi düşünceler bakımından da geliştirmeniz gerekmektedir. Bunun sonucunda ça- lıştığınız kurum ve kuruluşlara ve ülkenize faydanız olacaktır. Büyüklerinizi dinleyip saygı gösteriniz. İş yerinde ve toplumun her kesimindeki büyüklerinize saygı gösteriniz. Ailelerinizin kıymetini iyi biliniz.

Yunus Emre states the necessity of a person to continuously renew himself with his verses “We are always born again / who will Have Enough of Us”, and the importance of being a producer with the verses “Fear not, you exist eternally / because you are of service”.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Talha GÖNÜLLÜ, the Rector of our University, said: “The most beautiful thing in life is to learn and one of the most beautiful things is to be a student. You were always important for us, and you were entrusted to us. I also congratulate your families who entrust you to us, who have shown you great care since the day you were born. Up to the present day, they have had great efforts for you. I also thank our academic and administrative personnel. Eventually, there is an end of every path. However, we see you off from our university with love.
In our university which we took over 4 years ago, there is a scene which we are proud of today. From now on, our university is among the special universities in the world and in our country. We express this not with
