geleceğimizin teminatı gençlerimiz için yeni bir ilim yuvasının temelini atmanın mutluluğunu yaşıyoruz. Bizlere bu güzellikleri yaşatan Erdemoğlu ailesine, bu ailenin merhum büyüğü Mehmet ERDEMOĞLU’na rahmet dileklerimi ifade ederek şükranlarımı sunuyo- rum. İşlerinde başarılar dileyerek bu hayırlı hizmetle- rinin daim olmasını temenni ediyorum.
Bugün temelini atacağımız Mehmet ERDEMOĞLU Mimarlık Fakültesi, toplam 624 dönüm arazi üzerine oturacaktır. 202 dönümlük 1.etap yerleşke alanında mimarlık fakültesi, meslek yüksekokulu, kapalı spor salonu, lojman, açık spor alanları, yurtlar, ilköğretim tesisleri, kongre ve kültür merkezi, kütüphane, tören alanları, yönetim merkezi, sosyal tesisler, yemekhane, seyir terasları ve amfi tiyatro yapıları planlanmıştır. Erdemoğlu Holding tarafından yapımı üstlenilen Mehmet ERDEMOĞLU Mimarlık Fakültesi, yaklaşık 13.650 metrekare arazi üzerine kurulacaktır. 3.000 metrekare oturum alanına sahip ve 8.000 metrekare inşaat alanı olan yapı, 600 öğrenci kapasiteli olacak- tır. Bina, 4 amfi derslik, 4 stüdyo derslik, 4 normal derslik, 3 atölye, 2 bilgisayar dersliği, 2 seminer alanı, 14 öğretim üyesi ofisi, öğrenci işleri, toplantı odası, kafeterya ve mekanik tesisat merkezlerinden oluş- maktadır.

he ceremony for laying foundation of Adı- yaman University Mehmet ERDEMOĞLU Faculty of Architecture which is to be built in Besni district has been held.The foundation laying ceremony was attended by Adıyaman Province Governor Mahmut DEMİRTAŞ, Gaziantep Province Governor Erdal ATA, Adıyaman Deputy Mehmet ERDOĞAN, Gaziantep Deputy Meh- met ERDOĞAN, Gaziantep Deputy Mehmet ŞEKER, Gaziantep Metropolitan Mayor Fatma ŞAHİN, our Rector Prof. Dr. Talha GÖNÜLLÜ, Erdemoğlu Hol- ding Executive Board Director İbrahim ERDEMOĞ- LU and Erdemoğlu Family, our Vice-rectors, General Secretary, Faculty Deans, Institute and Technical
College Administrators, Public and Civil Society Or- ganization Representatives, our academic and admi- nistrative staff and citizens.
The ceremony started with a moment of silence and chanting of our national anthem. The opening spe- ech was made by our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Talha GÖNÜLLÜ. GÖNÜLLÜ recorded: “Today, we have got together here to realize one of the dreams of our pretty district Besni. Besni has been home to many ci- vilizations and has an old history, and it deserves this faculty thanks to the importance it gives to education. Dear guests, today, we have got together to leave a heritage for the future, and we are experiencing the happiness of laying the foundations for a scientific building for our young people who are the warrant of our future. I would like to express my appreciation for Erdemoğlu family for facilitating the construction of this building, and I wish God’s mercy and grace for the late Mehmet ERDEMOĞLU of this family. I wish them great luck with their business and I hope that their charitable services will always continue. Mehmet ERDEMOĞLU Faculty of Architecture, the foundation of which we are laying today, will be built on a land of 624 acres. In the 1st. phase campus area of 202 acres, the planned structures are: Faculty of architecture, technical college, indoor sports hall, accommodation, outdoor sport areas, student ac- commodations, primary school facilities, congress an culture centre, library, ceremony halls, administrati- on centres, social facilities, restaurant, leisure terra- ces and amphi lecture rooms.
The construction of Mehmet ERDEMOĞLU Faculty of Architecture has been taken over by Erdemoğlu Holding and it will be built on a land of 13,650 square meters. The structure will have a sit area of 3.000 square meters and a building area of 8,000 square
meters and the student capacity will be 600. The building will consist of 4 amphi lecture rooms, 4 stu- dio classrooms, 4 normal classrooms, 3 workshops, 2 computer classrooms, 2 seminar areas, 14 lecturer offices, student office, meeting room, cafeteria and mechanical facilities centres.
I would like to express one more time my gratitude for the great friends and volunteers of education Erdemoğlu Family, who have taken over the respon- sibility for building Mehmet ERDEMOĞLU Faculty of Architecture which will raise the intellectuals of tomorrow.”

Erdemoğlu Holding Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı İbra- him ERDEMOĞLU da törende bir konuşma yaptı ve şunları ifade etti: “Besni sevdalısı babamız Mehmet ERDEMOĞLU’nun bize ilke olarak benimsettiği değerler ışığında, ilçemize ve Ülkemize yatırımlar yapmaya devam ediyoruz. Bugün babamızın en büyük hayalinin gerçekleşmesi yolunda ilk adımı atıyoruz. İnanıyoruz ki, Cumhuriyetimizin 100. Yılında bu yerleşkede 5 bin öğrencimiz öğrenim görecek. Bizim açtığımız bu yolda, devletimizi ve sanayicilerimizi destek olmaya davet ediyoruz. Temelleri sağlam ol- mayan toplumların başarılı olamayacağını biliyoruz. Gaziantep Metropolitan Mayor Fatma ŞAHİN said, “If you want to have a good book of deeds, you need to accomplish good works and leave a good heritage of children who are useful for the country and the soci- ety. From birth till death, the work of that family influ- ences the citizens, it influences their life and they feel grateful to you, which brings satisfaction to your life. And that is the highest rank you can ever achieve.” In his speech, Adıyaman Province Governor Mahmut DEMİRTAŞ stated, “I wish God’s mercy and grace for Mehmet ERDEMOĞLU, as the uncle of Besni, who have built student accommodations, condolence houses, provided employment opportunities, made great contributions to the educational life in Besni, who has shown great loyalty to the area he grew up in, and I would like to congratulate all the respectable members of Erdemoğlu family. I believe that they are our opportunity for Besni, and I would like to express my gratitude to this charitable family on behalf of our province, and I hope that their charitable services will continue.
Erdemoğlu Holding works very hard for our country to achieve its targets by 2023. In order to contribute to the education of our young people who are the future of our country, they are building Mehmet ERDEMOĞLU Faculty of Architecture in Besni, in which this company started out. They are providing great support within their understanding of social responsibility for the education of our young people. For educating our children in a better way, we need well-equipped and good quality educational instituti- ons. In cases where our state cannot provide that, our charitable citizens such as Erdemoğlu family com- pensate for that need. By building this faculty, this charitable family, who likes education, will immorta- lize the name of their father, as well as making a great contribution to education.”
After the speeches, Besni Anatolian Girls’ Technical High School Choir gave a small concert. After that, the foundation for Adıyaman University Mehmet ERDEMOĞLU Faculty of Education was laid, accom- panied by the prayers of the Province Mufti Hanifi DAMAR.

İbrahim ERDEMOĞLU, the Executive Board Director of Erdemoğlu Holding, made a speech in the cere- mony and recorded the following: “Within light of the values that our father Mehmet ERDEMOĞLU, a lover of Besni, has imposed on us as our principles, we con- tinue investing in our district and country. Today, we are taking the first step towards achieving our father’s biggest dream. We believe that, on the 100th anni- versary of our Republic, there will be 5,000 students getting education in this campus. We invite our state and industry people to support us on this road we set out for. We know that a society that does not have a good base will not be successful. And we started our educational investments in that respect. We are renovating the schools with inconvenient conditions in our villages for the sake of our children in Besni. To date, we have completed the maintenance of 12 schools. After completing the maintenance of 9 more schools, we will have renovated all of our schools. We believe that, the young people who will graduate from Adıyaman University Mehmet ERDEMOĞLU Faculty of Architecture will be qualified labour and contribu- te to the economy of the region and the country. As Erdemoğlu Holding, we will continue to invest in the future, by the education of our young people. Today, we are laying the foundation for a faculty with a capa- city of 600 students, and we are planning to finish the construction in 2 years.”
