Aksaray LRTS Station-Yenikapı Station Connection

A significant integration will be achieved with the connection of the terminal station of Aksaray Airport Light Rail line which is located in Aksaray to Yenikapı Station. The route between Aksaray Station and Yenikapı Subway Station was designed as 417 meters of bored tunnel and 208 meters of cut-and-cover tunnel. 524 meters of tunnel were excavated and concreted so far.

Currently, archaeological research excavation prior to cut-and-cover structuring within the last section of 70 meters in the connection point to Yenikapı Station is still in progress.

Following the completion of the excavations carried out under the supervision of Directorate of Istanbul Archaeology Museums, the construction activities for the integration of Light Rail System to Yenikapı Station will be commenced with the aim of completion in the soonest time possible.

The excavation activities of the Otogar-Bağcılar (Kirazlı) Light Rail System line in Bağcılar Station were completed by the end of 2012.

The construction works in Menderes, Üçyüzlü, Kirazlı Stations were completed while the testing and commission activities in scope of electromechanical works are still in progress.

Currently Otogar-Airport line intersects with Esenler-Otogar line and administration losses are encountered due to the trains waiting for each other. With the completion of Esenler Viaduct, the negativity emerging from the overlapping Otogar-Airport line and Esenler-Otogar line will be resolved and continuous administration will be ensured for both lines. The construction works are still in progress in Esenler viaducts for this purpose while the installation of steel girders were commenced following the completion of all columns and end carriages constructions.

With the completion of Light Rail System line at the second half of 2013, the entire line is planned to be commissioned (Otogar-Bağcılar-Başakşehir-Olimpiyat Village Subway Line).

Istanbul Subway - Provision, Installation and Commissioning Activities of Electromechanical Systems between Taksim-Yenikapi

These are, in complete compliance with electromechanical systems of 4. Levent - Taksim Subway the construction of which has been brought into completion, operations related to project designing and constructing of double subway lines of 5200 meters of Istanbul Subway between Taksim-Yenikapi (936 meters of which is to be on viaduct and drawbridge) as well as system-related operation, maintenance, supervision, training and fine works, entrance-exit structures, laying the rails, electricity supply and distribution, signalization, communication, lighting, escalator, lift, ventilation, sanitary installation and subway vehicles of Şişhane, Unkapanı, Şehzadebaşı and Yenikapı Station buildings located on this line, and construction and electromechanical works of Light Rail System Aksaray-Yenikapı Connection of 700 meters length.

The section between Taksim-Şişhane was engaged on 30 January 2009 in scope of the work, and Şişhane-Yenikapı section’s construction works were completed and electromechanical and craftsmanship works are still in progress.

In parallel to the archaeological excavation activities between Şişhane and Yenikapı, the places can be submitted to the contractor in stages. In this scope, the contractor commenced the design and construction activities for the railway as well as other works for the tunnel constructions completed between Unkapanı and Yenikapı.

Otogar-Bağcılar (Kirazlı) Light Rail Line Construction and Vehicle Provision

Line Length: 5,8 km.

Number of Stations: 5

Stations: Esenler, Menderes, Üçyüzlü, Bağcılar Meydan, Kirazlı The construction and electromechanical activities in the Light Rail System line of 5.8 km of total length between Otogar-Bağcılar (Kirazlı) are still in progress and the line consists of 5 stations. The physical realization ratio of the Light Rail System section is in 89%.

Kadıköy-Kartal Subway Ayrılıkçeşme Station Supplementary Construction

The integration of Kadıköy Kartal Line to Marmaray was planned to be located in Ayrılıkçeşme Station. Due to the Marmaray construction activities lagging behind Kadıköy Kartal subway activities and the high demand of passengers, Kadıköy Kartal line was commissioned. However the concourse structure for admitting passengers in Ayrılıkçeşme Station could not be constructed.

With the commissioning of Marmaray in scope of this work, the integration will be achieved. Therefore, the subway networks of Istanbul on Asian and European sides will be connected.

In scope of this work;

- The craftsmanship works of stair tunnels,

- Construction and craftsmanship works of the tunnel which connects two structures at the station and located in the architectural project,

- Production of the rough construction and craftsmanship

works of the concourse and technical volume structure of the station,

- Upper bridge floor production of the concourse layer of Marmaray Ayrılıkçeşme Station,

- The production of the rough construction and craftsmanship works of the grade platform of Marmaray Ayrılıkçeşme Station are carried out.

Üsküdar-Ümraniye-Çekmeköy Subway Construction and Electromechanical Works

Line Length: 20 km Number of Stations: 16

Stations: Üsküdar, Fıstıkağacı, Bağlarbaşı, Altunizade, Kı- sıklı, Bulgurlu, Ümraniye, Çarşı, Yamanevler, Çakmak, Ihla- murkuyu, Altınşehir, İmam Hatip Lisesi, Dudullu, Necip Fazıl, Çekmeköy(Sancaktepe).

Üsküdar-Ümraniye-Çekmeköy (Sancaktepe) Subway Line Route Plan

The groundbreaking ceremony of the line, the tender of which took place on 15/09/2011 was held on 06/06/2012.

the project route starts from Üsküdar station (Üsküdar Square) and ends at Çekmeköy Station through the tunnels to be excavated with EPB/TBM and NATM techniques for 17 km. Furthermore, Storage Site/Maintenance and Control Center is accessed with the connection line of 2.7 km departing from the main route towards Dudullu district.

The scope of the work consists of all the provision, installation and commissioning works of the rail system line. There are 16 stations and 1 storage site on the Üsküdar-Ümraniye-Çekmeköy (Sancaktepe) line with the length of 20 km. 126 wagons are to render service on the line.

Üsküdar-Ümraniye-Çekmeköy (Sancaktepe) line will be the second subway line on the Asian side. The entire rail system line will be constructed as underground tunnel. The line is anticipated to be brought into completion within 38 months.

The maintenance duration is 24 months starting from the date of temporary admittance of the work.

Integration points will be established in the following points to ensure integration;

• Marmaray project Üsküdar Station,

• Altunizade Station with Metrobus line,

• Ümraniye Station with Göztepe-Ümraniye Line (upon the completion of the line with ongoing project activity)

Dudullu station with Bostancı-Dudullu Subway Line (when the line with ongoing project activities is brought to

completion).

Kartal-Kaynarca Subway Provision,

Installation and Commissioning Activities of Electromechanical Systems

Kartal-Kaynarca Subway line is between Kartal-Kaynarca stations with double lines of 4,5 km in length with 3 passenger stations in between. The system is the continuation of Kadıköy-Kartal subway line, and the main line section starts from the Kartal Station tail line and continues to the end of Kaynarca Station tail line. It will be built in a fashion to ensure the integration among Kartal-Kaynarca Line Kaynarca Station;

Marmaray Line-Kaynarca Station-Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
