THE CONTRIBUTION OF HEALTH TOURISM TO TURKISH TOURISM INCOME: 2000-2015

1Abstract
Health tourism, especially in recent years, has come up against us as an alternative tourism kind heard of frequently. Health tourism is also, like any other types of tourism, a kind of tourism to provide contributions to country economy significantly. At the same time, health tourism may be accepted as an important means in order to expand all the year round in our country as well.
Having high gross profit rate of this tourism kind has increased the interests of other countries related to health tourism as well. Despite the fact that Turkey has become tourist accepting country and become popular in this field as a result of new methods developed in recent years and investments, it is possible to declare that it is not up to scratch.
Secondary data resources are used in the study. The aim of this study is to examine the ratio of health tourism from which Turkey obtain as total tourism revenue between the years of 2000 and 2015, which is an alternative tourism and will provide significant contributions to the tourism economy of Turkey in the event of spreading in the whole year, and to examine whether there are any positive or negative changes.
