Amacı / Purpose Bu dersin amacı, refah devletinin ve sosyal politikaların zaman içerisinde nasıl dönüşümler

geçirdiğini incelemektir. The aim of this course is to examine the evolution of the welfare state and social

policies through time.

İçeriği / Content Ders Osmanlı İmparatorluğu çerçevesinden başlayarak sosyal güvenlik sistemlerinin ortaya çıkışını ve dönüşümünü incelemektedir. Bu çerçevede özellikle 19, 20 ve 21.

Yüzyıllarda bu sistemlerin nasıl dönüşümler geçirdiği tartışılmaktadır. Tartışmalar refah devleti kavramları ve ilgili verilerle de bağlandırılmaktadır.

Beginning from the Ottoman Empire, the course examines the rise and the evolution of the social security system in Turkey. Especially the evolution of these systems in the 19th, 20th and the 21st century are discussed. The debates are related to the welfare state discussions and relevan empirical evidence whenever possible.
