Amacı / Purpose Bu dersin amacı, öğrencilerin köleci toplumlardan kapitalist toplumlara kadar iktisadi ve toplumsal dönüşüm süreçlerini güncel literatür çerçevesinde tartışabilmeleri için dünya iktisat tarihini en iyi şekilde incelemelerini sağlamaktır.
The aim of this course is to make students analyse the economic history of the World to discuss within the framework of the contemporary literature of processes of economic and social change from slave-labor based societies to capitalist societies.
İçeriği / Content Dünya iktisat tarihi literatüründeki temel kavramlar ve yeni metodolojik perspektifler, dünya iktisat tarihi; merkantilizm, uluslararası ticaret, tarımsal kapitalizm, sanayileşme, sanayi devrimi, kapitalizm, dünya sistemi, sömürgecilik, büyük ayrışma, kurumlar, ekonomik büyüme, gelir ve servet dağılımı, emek piyasaları, küreselleşme.
Concepts and new methodologic perspectives in the literature on economic history of the world; mercantilism, international trade, agricultural capitalism, industrialisation, industrial revolution, capitalism, world system, colonisation, great divergence, institutions, economic growth, income and wealth distribution, labour markets, globalisation.
