mean TA relatively to high TA (p<0.001). Males with HCL and HTG had almost equal TA value.
Conclusions: Groups of males aged 25-64 years in open urban population of Tyumen with atherogenic fractions of lipoproteins had mean and high TA prevailed. This is necessary to be considered in the design of complex prevention program for workable males from middle-urbanized Siberian cities.

LIPOPROTEINS AND DEPRESSION IN MALES OF OPEN POPULATION OF MIDDLE-URBANIZED SIBERIAN CITY

Background and Aims: To define associations of prevalence of hyper-triglyceridemia (HTG) and high-density lipoproteins hypocholesterinemia (hypoCL HDL) with various depression levels in open male population aged 25-64 years.
Methods: A cross-sectional epidemiological study was conducted based on representative sample out of the voting lists of 1000 males aged 25-64 years from middle-urbanized Siberian city (based on Tyumen); respond was 85.0%. A self-reported questionnaire of World Health Organization MONICA-psychosocial was applied to study depression levels. HTG was registered in case of having triglycerides31.7 mmol/l, hypoCL HDL was
registered in case of having HDL cholesterol<1.0 mmol/l.
Results: Prevalence of mean depression level in males aged 25-64 years in open Tyumen population was 19.0%, high depression levele 4.6%. HTG prevalence in open male population was 10.5%, prevalence of hypoCL HDL e 4.6%; values did not form consequent age trend in population. HTG and hypoCL HDL prevalence in people with mean (54.6% and 50.0%, respec-tively) and high depression level (34.0% and 45.5%, respecrespec-tively) signifi-cantly prevailed (p<0.001) over HTG and hypoCL HDL prevalence in people with low depression level (11.3% and 4.5%, respectively).
Conclusions: Thus, in case of depression in workable males of open urban population there is a shift to the increase of atherogenic lipoproteins fractions in all age categories (25-64 years); it should be considered while forming complex cardiovascular prevention program in the city and re-gion.

DYSLIPIDEMIA AND SYNDROME OF EARLY VASCULAR AGING IN YOUNG ADULTS

Background and Aims: So far, there is no evidence of possible interactions of lipid parameters with the presence of signs of early vascular aging (EVA) in the youth population. Aim - to assess lipid status of young people, taking into account the detection of their angiological signs of EVA-syndrome. Methods: It was surveyed 243 students (81 boys, 162 girls ) to assess vascular age with help of device VaSeraVS-1500 (FUCUDA DENSHI, Japan). The groups were formed by the presence/absence of EVA-syndrome. Using test strips and CardioChek PA (Polymer Technology Systems, USA) we
estimated levels of total cholesterol (TC) and low-density lipoproteins (LDL). The data obtained was processed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 22 (USA).
Results: The values of TC and LDL, corresponding to the 95 percentile, equal to group average of 5.27 and 3.38 , while in boys - 5.07 and 3.24, and in girls - 5.46 and 3.54 mmol/L. It was also found cases of EVA-syndrome in 9.9 percents. Values of TC and LDL cholesterol, corresponding on the level 95th percentile and above was among boys in four of eight for TC ande five of eight for LDL. Similar cases among girls were recorded in seven of 16 for TC, ande six in 16 for LDL.
Conclusions: The presented data clarify the features of sexual differences between two most atherogenic lipid parameters in young people. It was also found that not all cases of EVA-syndrome among young people were characterized by the presence of elevated levels of TC and LDL.

Background and Aims: Epicardial adipose tissue is a visceral fat tissue located around the heart and coronary arteries, with paracrine, vasocrine and inflammatory effects. Although the causal relationship between adi-pose tissue and atherosclerosis has not yet been fully established, the findings indicate the potential necessity of epicardial adipose tissue in the development of coronary atherosclerotic plaque. The aim of the study was to determine the miRNAs that have differential expression in atherosclerosis.
Methods: The study group consisted of 68 patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) and 29 non-CAD controls. The miRNA expression profile was determined for the 8 induviduals (6 patients, 2 controls) in the epicardial adipose tissue samples, using the miRNA profiling system of Agilent technology. Selected altered microRNAs were verified by real-time PCR. Results: According to the microarray, there were 77 differentially expressed miRNAs in the coronary artery disease group when compared with the control group, including 14 upregulated and 54 downregulated miRNAs. Real-time PCR confirmed increased expression levels of miR27a-3p and 29b-miR27a-3p and decreased expression levels of miR 149- miR27a-3p and miR127-3p. When the results were analyzed according to gender, it was seen that the results were the same in males but the opposite in females. Conclusions: In this study, microarray analysis and verification of selected differentially expressed miRNAs (miR-27a-3p, miR-29b-3p, miR-127-3p, and miR-149-3p) was done in order to determine candidate miRNAs in atherosclerosis. As a result of this study, a preliminary step has been taken in the identification of miRNAs involved in gene regulation in epicardial adipose tissue.
