2.10.2 İKLİM

O (-)-α-bisabolol foi testado em relação a sua atividade farmacológica em modelos de úlcera induzida por etanol. Os resultados obtidos neste estudo nos permitem levantar as seguintes considerações:

(-)-α-bisabolol diminui o dano gástrico induzido pelo etanol, análise microscópica;

(-)-α-bisabolol aumenta a atividade da enzima superóxido dismutase no tecido gástrico, o que potencializou a dismutação do ânion superóxido, podendo esse fato constituir um dos mecanismos de ação dessa substância;

(-)-α-bisabolol interage com o sistema enzimático anti-oxidante diminuindo a ativadade da enzima catalase na mucosa gástrica, em animais tratados com etanol absoluto;

(-)-α-bisabolol diminui a migração de neutrófilos na mucosa gástrica no modelo de úlcera induzida por etanol absoluto em camundongos.

O (-)-α-bisabolol em ambas as dose foi capaz de diminuir a peroxidação lipídica (TBARS) causadas pelo o Etanol absoluto,

(-)-α-bisabolol não alterou significativamente a quantidade de nitrito no estomâgo dos animais ulcerados sugerindo o não envolvimento do óxido nítrico no mecanismo de ação.

7 CONCLUSÃO

O (-)-α-bisabolol se mostrou capaz de reduzir as lesões gástrica associadas a administração de etanol, provavelmente pela redução do estresse oxidativo no estomago, além de reduzir a atividade da MPO, contudo se explica a ação gastroprotetora dessa droga, no entanto a redução da atividade enzimática da Catalase seria um achado menos importante para explicar a atividade antiulcerogênica verificada.
