Uma das limita¸c˜oes no desenvolvimento deste trabalho est´a relacionada `as simula¸c˜oes, considerando que ainda n˜ao ´e poss´ıvel reproduzir fielmente as condi¸c˜oes reais encontradas em ambientes de redes veiculares. Al´em disso, a comunica¸c˜ao utilizada nas simula¸c˜oes foi apenas entre ve´ıculos. Dessa forma, n˜ao foi poss´ıvel avaliar o impacto da comunica¸c˜ao com a infraestrutura, por exemplo, para que os ve´ıculos recebessem informa¸c˜oes sobre a densidade da via.
Outra limita¸c˜ao diz respeito `a seguran¸ca da informa¸c˜ao. Uma das preocupa¸c˜oes com esse aspecto em redes veiculares ´e a possibilidade de rastreamento de ve´ıculos, que deve ser evitado. Neste trabalho utilizamos os identificadores sem considerar essa possibilidade. Outra preocupa¸c˜ao que deve ser levada em considera¸c˜ao s˜ao os ataques que os n´os da rede venham a sofrer. Como suas funcionalidades dependem das informa¸c˜oes coletadas, a atividade de n´os maliciosos pode levar a interpreta¸c˜oes erradas sobre o ambiente.
Um outro ponto que precisa de maior aten¸c˜ao se refere `a decis˜ao em rela¸c˜ao `a adapta¸c˜ao. Neste trabalho considerou-se que os valores dos flags levam `a mudan¸ca dos parˆametros. Apesar de ser necess´ario avaliar os valores monitorados localmente e aqueles enviados pelos ve´ıculos vizinhos, ´e poss´ıvel que haja situa¸c˜oes em que uma constante varia¸c˜ao nos valores dos flags leve os dipositivos a ficarem alternando a configura¸c˜ao dos parˆametros. Por esse motivo, seria importante instituir um mecanismo capaz de tratar essa situa¸c˜ao. A an´alise dos resultados sobre as mensagens enviadas periodicamente (beacons) nos estudos de caso realizados mostrou que sofreram pouca influˆencia da solu¸c˜ao proposta. Como o tr´afego desse tipo de mensagem pode tamb´em comprometer a utiliza¸c˜ao de re- cursos, ´e necess´ario verificar outras formas de tratamento dessas mensagens. Uma das solu¸c˜oes poderia ser a utiliza¸c˜ao de t´ecnicas para a adapta¸c˜ao da taxa de envio dos beacons. Quanto a trabalhos futuros, ´e importante o desenvolvimento de novas solu¸c˜oes para o envio de mensagens em broadcast, pois se trata de uma ´area que apresenta muitos desafios para que se possa conseguir uma forma de entrega robusta, em que todos os ve´ıculos dentro da ´area de interesse recebam as mensagens de seguran¸ca. ´E importante tamb´em considerar outros aspectos necess´arios na comunica¸c˜ao em redes veiculares, como a Qualidade de Servi¸co (QoS) para a entrega das mensagens no tempo necess´ario. Al´em disso, outras informa¸c˜oes podem ser monitoradas pelos ve´ıculos, al´em das que foram utilizadas neste trabalho. Assim, outras caracter´ısticas do ambiente e da rede podem ser representadas por flags e compartilhadas pelos ve´ıculos. Trabalhos futuros podem tratar desses outros aspectos e de outras formas de manipular os valores monitorados.
Em rela¸c˜ao ao framework proposto, ´e necess´ario desenvolver as t´ecnicas de detec¸c˜ao para tornar a decis˜ao sobre a adapta¸c˜ao mais eficiente. ´E importante tamb´em verific´a-lo em situa¸c˜oes que utilizem outros tipos de tr´afego, al´em de mensagens de seguran¸ca. Al´em disso, outras propostas podem ser desenvolvidas a partir do framework, com a utiliza¸c˜ao de outras estrat´egias de adapta¸c˜ao e de outras formas de coordenar sua aplica¸c˜ao.
