A-XIV Dear colleagues and researchers,

We are proud to share with you that the 15th volume of our journal has been left behind with this issue. In this year, we have decreased the publication period after acceptance to less than 6 months. In the following process, we are targeting to reduce the waiting period to less than 3 months with ahead of print after acceptance.

In this volume, we present totally 59 papers including 33 original papers, 22 case reports, 3 reviews, and 1 letter to editor. In İstanbul Medical Journal, all of the articles will be published in English with additional Turkish abstract in the second half of 2015.

In the following 1-year period, we will continue to accept papers in Turkish and the accepted papers will be translated to English by our publisher. However, papers in English will have priority for review and publication in this period.

We wish you a healthy, happy and successful new year.
