Course objectives The aim of the course is to expose the student to the theory and practice of decision making theory and forecasting, to impart an understanding of the role of decision making process. You have to understand many of the models and theories in decision making and forecasting.
Weekly Schedule
Week 1. Introduction to decision making. Decision making process.
Week 2. Decision Trees. Decision making under uncertainty.
Week 3. Utility theory.
Week 4. Group decision making.
Week 5. Risk theory. Risk aversion. Decision making under risk.
Week 6-7. Decision making under conflict.
Weeks 8. Queuing theory.
Week 9. Linear regression model and correlation.
Week 10. Multiple regression model.
Weeks 11-12. Exponential smoothing Week 13. Time series. Forecast accuracy.
Week 14. Non - linear models for forecasting.
