• Turkihs Family Law is regulated under the second book of the Turkish Civil Code.

• It has three main topics to ponder:

• 1. Law of marriage

• II. Propinquity

• III. Guardianship

• Family law means all legal norms covering relations around family.

• Family law is covered under some codes and other administrative norms.

• Only the legal marriages are subject to the family law.

• Family means people who are related with a legal bond and if they have their children.

• In Constitution, there are some principles who cover family law such as:

• Family is the core of the Turkish Nation

• Protection of family

• Family planning

• Equality

• Secrecy of the family life

• There are also some other principles that are used in family law.

• Individualism:

• The main example for this principle is the rules about the gender equality. By those rules, women can protect their individualities.

• Unification:

• The family relations are in continuity and they constitute a unified sum of the relations.

• Protection of family and children:

• It is a reflection of the protection of the personality principle in family law.

• The rights in family law are in general absolute rights.
