The dominating theme of the Global Business Executive Retreat 2021 is NEW ERA - DOING BUSINESS - CONNECTING GLOBALY - EAST AND WEST REBOOT which will feature an engaging programme of panel discussions and investment B2B sessions, covering wide-ranging issues of relevance for all global markets nowadays. Topics will focus on trends which shape our future and investment opportunities both globally and in the Western Balkans covering innovations, entrepreneurship, digitalization, free zones, tourism, as well as potentials of expanding into new markets with special focus on West Africa.
All of the planned events will bring together prominent speakers from around the world to share knowledge, inspire discussion and spark debate.
A special part of the gathering will be dedicated to opportunities for business discussions and networking provided through numerous joint activities, excursions and socializing events.

Through interesting plenary sessions with distinguished guests from all over the world we will address important topics, touch on modern technologies, success stories and create opportunities for cooperation of our local and regional companies in other international markets. Carefully selected encouraging speakers will motivate conference participants to take action through B2B meetings, which will follow the official part of the program. The topics are very current and appropriate at a time when all economies are facing the challenge of transformation in the digital age and the pandemic era. The gathering will bring together 100 participants from more than 20 countries. Opportunities for business discussions and networking will be provided through numerous joint activities and socializing. Jahorina is located in the heart of the Balkans, in the Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the junction of cold continental and warm Mediterranean climate, with the highest peak of Ogorjelica 1916m above sea level, which makes it very healthy and pleasant to spend the winter and summer days on this mountain. Jahorina is not only a modern ski resort, but also a mountain with a rich tradition, in 1984 Sarajevo and Jahorina hosted the Winter Olympic Games. The proximity to the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo, and the international airport make this mountain especially attractive for tourists even from the most remote parts of Europe and the world. The unspoiled nature and mountain scenery leave no one indifferent, while on the other hand, perfect ski slopes and modern lifts meet the expectations of even the most demanding visitors.

Michael A. DADA is the founder and president of the Central Eastern European and West African Business Association (CEEWABA). He is also the owner and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Diplomats Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom, Europe, and in Nigeria. He owns and manages few other European businesses established in West Africa. Michael is a professional member of the International Compliance Association in the UK and also an associate member of the Institute of Directors London. He is an experienced and widely travel international business executive with keen interests in professionally representing African-European trade, business, and investment ventures.
MARTIN MÖSSLER
Managing Director of Science Park Graz
Martin is the Managing Director of Science Park Graz – The High Tech Incubator, and General Manager of ESA Space Solutions Austria. Prior to this, his professional positions led to the staff of Austria’s Federal President, Dr. Heinz Fischer, the management of a tourism company and the rectorate of the University of Applied Arts in Vienna as well as University of Technology. From 2010-2016 he furthermore served as assistant to the Rector of Graz University of Technology.
Since 2015 he is member of the “Council for a 21st Century” dealing with the future of technology related employment.
DR. JASSIM HAJI
President of the Artificail Intelligences in Bahrain
Dr. Jassim Haji has management and executive experience in Aviation, Hospitality, Technology and Telecommunications for over 30 years. He has served on the board of directors of a leading hospitality and tourism technology provider in the Middle East and on SITA Council representing the Middle East and North Africa. Furthermore, he has been part of the Bahrain Centre of Excellence, which is over-looking excellence in the public sector. With over 3 decades of robust experience in implementing IT strategies, Dr. Haji continuously conducting research in Artificial Intelligence and Organizational Change, exemplified by his publications on latest technologies and how to be leveraged operationally and economically.

10:30 - 11:30The panel will focus on the increase of the value of foreign direct investment through the improvement of the free zone regime in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Namely, free zones are an integral part of foreign trade policy and are used as a mechanism for attracting foreign direct investment. Experience from the Western Balkans region indicates that free zones attract a significant number of foreign investors who currently play a major role in their economies.
