SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

Abstract

Eliminating poverty and hunger in the world is one of the main objectives of both the Millennium Development Goals and Sustainable Development Goals. In this study, Millennium Development Goals and Sustainable Development Goals is at- tempted on the basis of relevant indicators of the analysis of poverty in Turkey. In the context of the Millennium Development Goals in Turkey from 2000 to 2015 experienced a decline in poverty and extreme poverty in serious. However, incre- ases in unemployment rates raise concerns about the sustainability of this success.

Within the scope of the ongoing Sustainable Development Goals there is no gene- ral or working population below the international poverty line in Turkey, it is seen that the progress recorded in the proportion of population living below the national poverty line.
