This course will present the life of the Prophet Muhammad according to the main sources and historical works.
This course will be started by historical methodology which is related with approaching to the material of main sources and historical works. The description of the Arabian background of the life of Prophet Muhammad will explore for a proper understanding of his career and achievements. This course also will cover Prophet Muhammad’s early life, his mission and acts during the Meccan and Medinan period.
Dersin Amacı
Modern tarihçilik ve İslam tarihçiliğine ilişkin temel kavramlar ve bilgilerin mukayeseli bir biçimde kavratılması, İslâm dininin ortaya çıkışı ile ortaya çıktığı tarihsel zemin arasındaki irtibatın kurulması, Hz. Muhammed'in peygamberlik öncesindeki hayatınınn temel kaynaklardan hareketle kavranması, Risaletin Mekke ve Medine dönemlerindeki olayların vahyin nüzul süreci ile koordineli olarak kavranması
