İMREN GÜRBAŞAR
Born in Yalova, Limasol on the 15th December 1964. Her father is a retired army intellegence officer and her mother a housewife. She completed primary and first part of secondary school in Lefkoşa. Then she and her immediate family emmigrated to England in November 1979. She completed the second part of the secondary school education in England.
Her undergraduate degree is in Business Administration from University of West of England in Bristol in England.
After living in England for 21 years she returned to Cyprus.
She has a masters degree in Business Administration and a masters degree in Teachers Training which were completed at Near East University.
She became a member of Near East University on 1st April 2003 and she has been giving service English lessons to first and second year students at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
She has attended many conferences in different countries.
She has been working with charity associations since 1992 in her spare time in England and in Cyprus to be a helpful citizen for the community. She is serving on the committee for Kadınlar Birliği (Lefkoşa), Kadınlar Konseyi (Lefkoşa) and she is a past president for Girne Inner Wheel Club. These are all women’s associations.
She is also the founding member of charity based association called Turkish and Italian Friendship group.
