RESUME Assist.Prof.Dr. Huriye Gürdallı
Graduated from Lefkoşa Türk Maarif Koleji and from the Deparment of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture of Istanbul Technical
University in 1994. After completing her master’s degree with her thesis,‘The Historical and Geographical Effects on the Architectural Elements in Selimiye Region, Lefkoşa’ in 1996, she achieved her PhD degree in 2004 with her thesis, ‘The Place of Formal Education in the Formation of an Architect’.
For professional experience, she worked as an assistant architect at various architectural projects in architectural offices with Prof. Dr.
Atilla Yucel and Ayse Orbay.
Between 2003 and 2006 she had been instructor and appointed as the Chair of the Department of Interior Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Cyprus International University.
In 2006-2007 fall semester she took place in the academic staff at the Faculty of Architecture of Near East University. She has been giving lectures especially on theory and conducting architectural and interior design studios.
She became Assist. Professor in March 2014 and she is currently Head of Department of Interior Architecture. she
Her interests include architectural education, city, ideology – city planning and architecture, culture and space.
