CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
5.0 Presentation
This chapter summarizes the study and its major findings first. Then it gives pedagogical implications, recommendations and finally it presents implications for further research.
5.1 Summary of the Results
As mentioned in the first chapter, this study was designed to investigate the awareness levels of dyslexia among primary school English language teachers. In other words, it aimed to investigate to what extent the teachers of different ages, gender, years of experience, places of graduation, regions, location of the schools they are at and of different institutions are aware of this specific learning disability. The questions of the study were:
1. Are the English language teachers in primary schools in the TRNC aware of the definition of dyslexia, its causes, effects, symptoms, possible common strengths, diagnostic methods and treatment and teaching methods that are available?
