Inter-disciplinary scientific- research complex on basis of unique accelerator o f heavy ions DC-60 is joint development o f International intergovernmental organization “Joint Institute of Nuclear Research” (JINR, Dubna city, Russian Federation) and Institute Nuclear Physics o f National Nuclear Center o f RK. Complex was built in Astana city and is situated near with main building of Eurasian National University af. L.N. Gumilev. The most advanced physical concepts and technical decisions were used for its elaboration which is allowed to create one of the best accelerator in own way in the World.

THE MAIN PARAMETERS OF CYCLOTRON

Its main is the first high-powered accelerator of heavy ions DC-60 in Central Asia, which is consist of injector- implant on basis of ECR- sources, cyclotron and channels for heavy ions transportation. Injector- implant is allowed to receive ion beams with energy till 40 keV on charge. The energy of accelerated parts can vary from 0.4 till 1.66 MeV/ nucleon in exit o f cyclotron.

The one of the main component of cyclotron is source of multi- charge of heavy ions on basis of electron- cyclotron resonance (ECR). It can work as injector of heavy ion for getting ion beams with high energy in cyclotron as on autonomous behavior to provide carry out experiments on beams with low energy.

low energy ion beam channel (ECR source beams); 3 channels of accelerated ion beams;

cyclotron systems and research equipment.

THE MAIN DIRECTIONS OF SCIENTIFIC INVESTIGATIONS

Inter-disciplinary scientific- research complex is provided up to date material basis for main and applied researches of world level in nuclear physics and radiation materials science in new capital city of Kazakhstan.

The searching of neutron substance-octaneutron clusters, investigation of subbarrier of nuclear reactions with charged particles transmission for astrophysical and thermonuclear applications doesn’t make particularly because of high-intensive accelerated heavy ions with energy closely and lower Coulomb barrier absence. As the result of this execution such investigation experiments on basis of heavy ions DC-60 cyclotron is actual and the most perspective.

The possibility of formulating the wide ranging experimental investigations on the accelerator DC-60 is allied to go for the new qualitative level in the field of solid state physics. The following themes are concerned to tasks of main character having the main allied meaning: radiation strengthening, high- temperature radiation embitterment, radiation swelling; modeling of high-dose irradiation by the fission neutrons and synthesis; the modification of the properties of materials by the method of ionic alloying. Therefore, the large part of the investigations will be dedicated to the fundamental and applied aspects to formation and use of nuclear tracks in solid bodies. These investigations the first of all are directed to the scientific-technical providing the radiation nano technologies - rapidly developing technology in XXI century. It is possible to act on any physical chemistry and mechanical properties of the irradiated object with help of the specially selected ion beams because of the properties of substance are determined by its chemical composition and structure of crystal lattice. These are effective, economically and ecologically advantageous method to obtain the assigned properties not of all entire material volume, but only necessary part. Investigation and understanding of these fundamental physical processes of interaction of particles with solid body is the determining the basis of their practical use for the radiation- ionic modification of materials. Since the interest for using “patter” nano technology on the base of track membranes is appeared only at the end of the 90th years, many instrumental and technological aspects of this direction are located only in the initial stage of development. Therefore, not less important direction is ion - implantation nano technology in investigations. The works are developed In this direction according to searching new contemporary approaches to control of the fundamental properties of solid bodies (semiconductors, metals, polymers, etc.). At present time this direction is composed one of the major problem of the leading scientific center in the Word which is working in the field nano technologies.

Cyclotron complex is allowed to develop new high technologies with using nuclear track membrane in Astana city, which were founded wide using in field of physics, chemistry, biology, and medicine and food industry. Unique property of tracking membrane viz high selectivity, homogeneous form of interstice and others, allowed using them in ultra and microfiltering processes at gas treating and liquid area with effectiveness not available for the others filtrated materials. The tracking membrane is especially perspective for bacterial division and virus suspension which is used in bio-medical investigations, for cleaning technological areas, for producing microelectronics products, for cold pasteurization liquid products, for removal microflora from drinking water and others.

The one of the main tasks of creation Inter-disciplinary scientific-research complex Institute of Nuclear physics is prepare high-qualified specialists in natural-science and technical types for Kazakhstan economics. For the first time the huge and more expensive equipment is situated near Eurasian national university after L.N. Gumilev which is confirmed from the direction of government to preparation high- qualified staff. The cyclotron DC-60 on basis of heavy ions gives possibility to create research and laboratory investigation base for joint using for scientific workers, teachers, doctors and students in Astana city. The created scientific research complex solves stated problem in the region of training personnel of natural-research and technical directions, which is not possible to develop the industrial- innovation society.
