Haluk BİLGİNER was born in İzmir. He was born on June 5, 1954. He studied at İzmir Turk Private School. He received his first award at the inter-high school theatre contest. He worked as a guest actor at the İzmir State Theatre. He entered the Department of Theatre at Ankara State Conservatory, from where he graduated in 1977. Bilginer went to London after his graduation, received theatre training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art for a year. The actor lived in this country from 1980 to 1993.
Bilginer got married to married Zuhal Olcay, the couple appeared together in the TV series. The actor won 11 awards throughout his career. Last month Turkish actor Haluk Bilginer won 47th International Emmy Award for best performance in New York.
