ASSOC. PROF. BÜLENT EVRE
He was born on August 29, 1974 in Limassol, Cyprus. He finished his primary school, secondary school and high school education in Güzelyurt. He first studied English Language Teaching at Gazi University in Ankara, Turkey, and graduated in 1997.
He later went on to study politics and obtained a master’s degree at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration in Hacettepe University. He also received doctorate degree in political science from the same university in 2005.
In the same year he returned home and started to work as a lecturer at the Department of International Relations in Near East University.
In 2007 Bülent Evre obtained the title of Assistant Professor, and in 2008 he was appointed as the chairperson of the Department of Political Science in Near East University. In
2012. He entitled to receive the title of Associate Professor. Since 2005 he has been teaching a variety of courses at the Departments of Political Science, International Relations, and European Union Relations in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
He has published several academic articles both in national and international journals. Besides his journal publications he has written two books entitled Turkish Cypriot Nationalism that was published in 2004, and Postmodern Paradox and Politics that was published in 2009, and also several book chapters in the field of politics.
