• Kloroform çozücüsünde moleküllerin 1H-NMR ve 13C-NMR spektrumları hem deneysel hem de DFT/B3LYP76-31G(d,p) bazlı kuantum kimyasal hesaplama yöntemi ile belirlendi. Teorik verilerin deneysel sonuçlarla korelasyon ilişkisi incelendi. Azo-Bütil, Azo-CF3 ve Azo-COEt

moleküllerin 1H-NMR korelasyon katsayıları sırasıyla R2 = 0,9968, R2 = 0,9923 ve R2 = 0,9712 olarak elde edildi. Bu moleküllerin 13C-NMR

korelasyon katsıyıları da sırasıyla R2 = 0,9941, R2 = 0,9871 ve R2 = 0,9907 olarak tayin edildi. Genel olarak NMR spektrumları korelasyon katsayıları değerlendirildiğinde, korelasyon katsayılarının yüksek çıkması (1 değerine oldukça yakın) hem 1H-NMR hem de 13C-NMR spektrumları hesaplamalarının başarılı olduğunun göstergesidir. NMR kimyasal kayma analizi ile bu üç molekülün bazı önemli kimyasal gruplarının yapısal özellikleri de belirlendi.

• Azobenzen moleküllerin UV-Vis dalgalarının soğurulma analizleri diklorometan çözeltisi içinde ölçümleri gerçekleştirildi ve TD-DFT/Cam-B3LYP (yöntem ile aynı çözetti kullanılarak hesaplandı)/6-31G(d,p) yöntem hesaplamaları ile aynı çözelti için gerçekleştirildi. İzinli geçiş bölgesinde (𝜋 → 𝜋) moleküllerin Trans izomer durumunda güçlü soğurma pik noktalarına rastlanırken, geçiş bölgesinde ( 𝑛 → 𝜋 ) herhangi bir absorpsiyon elde edilmedi. Diğer bir yandan, bu moleküllerin Cis izomer durumunda her iki geçiş bölgesinde soğurulma pik noktaları oluşmaktadır.

• Orbital enerjileri, HOMO-LUMO enerji bant aralığı, iyonizasyon potansiyeli, elektron ilgisi, elektronegatifliği, kimyasal sertlik gibi elektronik özellikleri FMO yöntem ile belirlendi. Moleküller UV-Vis ışığına maruz kaldığında, HOMO-LUMO enerji bant aralığının arttığı gözlenmektedir. Bu da moleküllerin Trans izomeri durumunda iken daha reaktif olduğunu göstermektedir. Tüm moleküllerin iyonizasyon potansiyeli 5 eV civarında çıkmış olup, bu da moleküllerden bir elektron koparabilmek için gerekli minimum enerjiyi vermektedir. Trans izomerinin elektron ilgisinin Cis izomerininkinden daha yüksek çıkması, moleküllerin Trans izomeri durumunda daha fazla elektron alma eğilimini göstermektedir.

özelliğine sahip olması, elektronları çekirdeğe çekme yeteneğinin daha güçlü olduğunu ifade etmektedir. Azo-CF3 molekülünün elektrofilik indeksi diğer moleküllerden daha yüksek çıkmıştır. Bu da, bu molekülün daha fazla elektron alma eğilimine sahip olduğunu göstermektedir.

Bu tez çalışması, DFT bazlı ab-initio hesaplama yönteminin azobenzen türev moleküllerinin yapısal, titreşim ve elektronik özelliklerini belirlemek için güçlü bir yöntem olduğunu göstermektedir.
