1. A elevada proporção de animais soropositivos nas criações de galinhas caipiras nos Estados neste levantamento indica que o protozoário T. gondii encontra-se amplamente difundido no Rio Grande do Norte e Paraíba.
2. A ausência de soropositividade entre os frangos de corte analisados ressalta a pouca importância epidemiológica desses animais no ciclo de transmissão do protozoário.
3. A alta concordância observada entre a RIFI e o ELISA quando se realiza pesquisa de anticorpos anti-T. gondii permite indicar ambas as técnicas como eficientes para o diagnóstico da toxoplasmose aviária.
4. Resultados erráticos de probabilidade da toxoplasmose diagnosticados pelo HAI classificam enfatizam a necessidade de padronização própria dos kits comerciais para o uso em estudos epidemiológicos com espécies animais.
