Çalışma sonunda edindiğimiz sonuç ve öneriler şöyledir;
1. Metastazla ilgili yakınma ve/veya bulgu olsun olmasın akciğer kanserli her hastanın tedavi kararı öncesi tüm sistemler yönünden evreleme amacı ile taranması gerekir.
2. Mevcut teknik gelişmelere koşut olarak klasik tarama yöntemi de PET-BT tarama yöntemi de metastaz açısından etkin bir değerlendirmeye imkan vermektedir.
3. Klasik tarama ve PET-BT tarama yöntemleri arasında sadece abdomen metastazı belirlemede klasik tarama yöntemi lehine bir fark olduğu gözlenmektedir.
4. PET-BT tetkikinin yukarıdaki nedenlerle Nükleer Tıp ve Radyoloji uzmanı tarafından aynı anda değerlendirilmesi ve rapor edilmesi daha uygun gözükmektedir.
