Hello everyone,

We are already in October. The beginning of next month is the feast of all the Saints and the next day the feast of All Souls. This is a day of prayer for those family and friends who have died and they need us to ask God's mercy on their souls. Every human being, with the one ex- ception of our Mother Mary and of course Jesus, have sinned and suffer from Original sin. All have sinned and have been in Purgatory for their sins. Even the saints, that we recognize are in the presence of God, were purified, that is cleaned, to be in the presence of God. Any evil of their lives have been purged. Our prayers for our family and friends can help them to be with God. The greatest prayer there is, is the Holy Mass.

In your giving envelopes is an envelope for All Souls Day Mass. The names you put on this envelope are then placed on our altars in our cluster of parishes. They are re- membered on All Souls day and throughout the year at the celebration of Mass. Please, now, spend some thought, prayer, and time to fill these out and get them to the office so they can be on the lists on our altars. You can place it in the usual collection baskets at Mass.

Let us pray for those we love who have gone before us that they maybe in God's eternal presence.

In Christ,

Fr. John
