ÖNSÖZ

Bölümümüz, Ege Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi’nde “Bitki Sağlığı Bölümü”

adı altında 1956 yılında kurulmuştur. Bölüm, eğitime 1956-1957 öğretim yılında başlamış ve ilk mezunlarını 1961 yılında vermiştir. 1983 yılında

“Entomoloji” ve “Fitopatoloji” olmak üzere iki Anabilim Dalı’ndan oluşan

“Bitki Koruma Bölümü” adını almıştır.

Günümüzde, bölümümüzde lisans ve lisans üstü düzeyde eğitim-öğretim ve araştırma faaliyetleri yürütülmektedir.

Bölümün temel amacı; dünyanın, ülkemizin ve özellikle Ege Bölgesi’nin mevcut bitki koruma sorunlarının belirlenmesi ve çözümüne yönelik katkılar sağlamaktır.

Bilindiği gibi, yayınlar bir kurumu tanıtmak, faaliyetleri ve sorumluluk alanları hakkında kamuoyunu bilgilendirmek ve iletişim sağlamak açısından çok önemli araçlardır. Ayrıca, yayınlar kurumun ve personelin toplu ve basit bir görüntüsünü sunma bakımından da değer taşımaktadır.

Kendi beyanlarına ve bölümde mevcut bilgilere dayalı olarak belirli bir kalıp içinde düzenlenen bu eserde; akademik personelimizin öz geçmişleri, eğitim durumları, uzmanlık alanları ve iletişim bilgileri konularında özet biçiminde açıklamalar yer almaktadır.

Bu kitapçığın hazırlanmasındaki ana amaç; ülkemizdeki ve yurt dışındaki bitki koruma ile ilgili kurumlara, kişilere ve öğrencilere kendimizi öz olarak tanıtmaktır.

Bu eserin gerekli ilişkilerin kurulmasında bir aracı olması ve ilgili çevrelere katkılar ve yararlar sağlaması başlıca dileğimizdir.

PREFACE

Our Department was founded in 1956 under the name of “Department of Plant Health”, being part of the Faculty of Agriculture, at Ege University. The education in the Department was started in academic year of 1956-1957 and the first graduation was in 1961. It was renamed as “Department of Plant Protection” including the subsections of

“Entomology” and “Phytopathology” in 1983.

Currently, our Department continues to carry out the activities on education and training at under graduate and graduate programs and researching at the department level.

The main goal of the Department makes contributions to determine and solve the current problems of plant protection faced in the world, our country, especially in the Aegean region.

As it is known to all, the publications are very important tools for presenting an institution, enlightening the public about its activities and duties and for communication. Also, they are essential for offering overall and simple view of institution and personel.

This booklet prepared in certain pattern according to the academic staff’s self declaration and information available at department includes summarized knowledge about autobiographies, educational levels, major profession areas and contact information about academic personnel of our department.

The main goal in producing this booklet is to introduce simply ourselves to the institutions, persons and students who are related with plant protection in our country and abroad.

Our main desire is that the booklet becomes an agent to establish necessary connections and contributions to whom it may concern.
