Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmet GÜNEYLİ
He worked as an academic at Eastern Mediterranean University in 2004–2005 academic year and Near East University in 2005–2006 academic year. He worked at the representative office of Near East University in Ankara between 2006 and 2009. He was then appointed to assistant professor at the Education Faculty in Near East University.
He worked in the commission of course book writing at the Ministry of Education and Culture in North Cyprus between 2005 and 2009. He is among the writers of Turkish and Social Sciences books at primary education level and Human Rights books at secondary school level. Furthermore he worked in-service trainings as an instructor concerning the introduction of the new course books to the teachers. In addition he worked in a EU Project which was about developing the teaching programs and designing course materials.
He has international-national articles and book chapters published in the fields of primary education, Turkish teaching, children’s literature, program development and teacher training. He also presented articles in the congresses he attended Cyprus and in abroad. He is a referee in 4 national journals (Cypriot Journal of Educational Sciences, Education Journal of Mediterranean Researches, Social Sciences Institution Journal of Balıkesir University, Elementary Education Online) and a member of Science Committee of WCES, ICEEPSY and International Conference of Turkish Education and Teaching. He is also a member of North Cyprus Educational Sciences Community, Turkish Cypriot Teachers Union and Cyprus Human Rights Platform. His articles are also being published in Gaile which is a weekly newspaper journal in North Cyprus and he is the member of editorial board.
He is working at the Education Faculty in Near East University at the present time and he is teaching native language teaching, education, Turkish grammar, children’s literature and research courses both at graduate and postgraduate level.
He was born in Nicosia district of Cyprus in 1979. He finished primary, secondary and high school education in Gazi Mağusa. Then he continued his education at Atatürk Teacher Academy in Cyprus and completed it in 2000 as a graduate of Primary School Education Department. Later he completed his MA in 2003 and PhD in 2007 at Turkish Language Teaching Department in Ankara University.
