Özet

Çalışmanın hazırlanmasındaki amaç öğrencilerin matematiğin yaşamımızdaki yerine ilişkin bilinç geliştirmelerini, bilimin günlük yaşamla bağlantısını kurmalarına yardımcı olmayı, bilimin doğasını, bilimsel yöntemi keşfetmelerine, matematiğin sanatla ve sporla olan ilişkisini fark etmelerine, eğlenerek bilimin canlı yüzüyle tanışmalarına yardımcı olmayı sağlamaktır.

Çalışmanın evreni ilköğretim dördüncü sınıflardır. Öğrenciler bir tam gün eğitime katılmışlardır. Eğitim süresi okulların eğitim saatleri çerçevesinde planlanmıştır. Öğrenciler matematiksel oyunlar, drama çalışmaları, matematik atölyeleri, teknoloji ve matematiği birleştiren etkinlikler gibi birçok etkinliğe katılım sağlamışlardır.

Öğrencilerin matematik görüşlerini belirlemek için eğitim öncesi ve sonrasında öğrencilerle görüşmeler yapılmıştır.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to provide developing students’ awareness of mathematics in our lives, helping to connect with science and daily life, realizing the relationship between mathematics and, art and sport, making fun to help students acquainted with the live face of science, besides introducing students to the science of mathematics.

The population of this study is the fourth elementary classes. Students have been trained in a full day. The period of study is planned within the framework of school training hours. In this process of education, the students have participated many activities such as mathematical games, drama, math workshops and the activities which combine technology and mathematics. Interviews have been done with children before and after process of study to determine mathematics attitudes of children.
