• The patient to fell better – mainly symptoms.

Why Spirometry is important .

• Need it to diagnose COPD

• Can diagnose most diseases in the lung • Differentiate between asthma and COPD

– Treatment and prognose is different

• Stage of COPD is important as the treatment is according to that !!

Increased survival and better !!! Risk for exacerbations decreases
