Dear Mr. Toros:
Your letter of November 16 to the Department of State, in which you requested information on how to obtain a report en
titled "The Armenian Case," has been referred to this office
for reply. We were unable to locate any Department of State
publication by this title issued in 1919.
The Senate Committee on Foreign Relations did have published in that year the Subcommittee Hearings on Senate Joint Resolution 106 for the "Maintenance of Peace in Armenia" (66th Congress, 1st Session). The 1919 report of the American Military Mission to Armenia (also
known as the Harbord Mission) was published in the Papers Relating to the Foreign Relations of the United States, 1919, volume II
(Washington: Government Printing Office, 1934). Foreign Relations
is a documentary series published by the Department of State since
1861 as the official record of American foreign policy. This volume
and the Senate report cited above should be available in the univer sity or city libraries in New York or on inter-library loan.
I hope that this information will be of assistance to you. Sincerely yours
Fredrick Aandahl Director, Operations Staff
