Özet

CHP 1960’lardan beri sosyal demokrasi ile Kemalizm arasinda kalmiştir. Çaliş-mada öncelikle partinin mirasi ile modern sosyal demokrasinin gereklerinin çatiş-masi ele alinmaktadir. Asil olarak iki farkli zihniyet arasinda Kiliçdaroğlu’nun ko-numu analiz edilmektedir. Kiliçdaroğlu zayif profilli bir lider olmasina rağmen par-tinin melez karakterinin tipik bir temsilcisidir. Kiliçdaroğlu ile CHP’de yaşanan de-ğişimin anlatilmasindan sonra onun siyasal liderlik becerisi tartişilmaktadir. Yeni CHP’nin hem demokratik hem de vesayetçi yüzünün karişimi olarak ele alinan yeni lider partiyi popüler vaatlerin yarattiği söylemsel güçle ayakta tutmaktadir. Çalişmanin partinin geleceğine dair öngörüsü daha seyreltilmiş bir Kemalizm ile sosyal demokrasi birleşiminin yarattiği melez karakterin Kiliçdaroğlu’na yarayaca-ğidir. Kiliçdaroğlu bölünmeyecek bir CHP’nin lideri olarak kalacaktir. Partinin bö-lünmesi onun siyasal liderlik kariyerinin sonu olacaktir.

Hybrid Leader of Political Legacy in CHP: Kemal

Kiliçdaroğlu

Abstract

CHP has been locked between social democracy and the Kemalism since 1960s. This study, first, explains the clash between the legacy of the party and require-ments of modern social democracy. Then, it analyzes the position of Kiliçdaroğlu between these two different mentalities. Although Kiliçdaroğlu is a weak leader, he is a typical representative of the party’s hybrid character. The new leader, seen as a combination of both democratic and authoritarian faces of the new CHP, ma-intains the party by power of discourse created by populist promises. This study argues that the hybrid quality of the party created by a diluted version of the Ke-malism and social democracy will benefit Kiliçdaroğlu. CHP will not be divided into several parties and such a partition will be the end of his leadership career.
