Researching the Effect of TV Decor
Designs on Audience Perception

Abstract: TV programs show variety depending on their purposes and contents such as newscast, talk show, quiz show, daytime programs. Each program has distinctive audience. Program decoration is important and incontrovertible as well as type and content to create these audiences. Decoration design is different from according to program types, broadcast times, own audiences and their concepts. At the same time, decoration design develops depending on today’s requirements with program types. In line with these developments, considering the physical properties, physiological and psychological effects of color and lighting, functional, esthetical and symbolic usage in studios is effective in the design of decoration. The purpose of study is to analyze of the importance of decoration in the television productions and color-lightening phenomenon’s effects on audience perceptions.
