𝑦′′ = 𝑝 𝑥 𝑦′ + 𝑞 𝑥 𝑦 (5.1)
tipinde ikinci mertebeden lineer homojen diferansiyel denklemlerin bazı özel hallerinin çözümleri asimptotik iterasyon yöntemi ve varyasyonel yöntem kullanılarak incelenmiĢtir. (5.1) tipindeki denklemlerin bir örneği olarak bir boyutta zamandan bağımsız Schrödinger denklemi göz önüne alınmıĢtır. (4.2.2)’deki 𝐻 operatörü için (4.2.3) Schrödinger denkleminin tanımladığı özdeğer probleminin, özel potansiyeller için 𝐸 özdeğerleri ve 𝑅 çözüm fonksiyonları hem asimptotik iterasyon yöntemi hem de varyasyonel yöntem kullanılarak araĢtırılmıĢtır.
Asimptotik iterasyon yöntemi ve varyasyonel yöntem kullanılarak elde edilen sonuçlar, hem birbirleriyle hem de farklı yöntemler kullanılarak bulunan sonuçlar ile karĢılaĢtırıldığında aĢağıdaki sonuçlara ulaĢılmıĢtır:
Asimptotik iterasyon yöntemi ve varyasyonel yöntem, özellikle özdeğer problemlerine uygulandığında, hem özdeğerlerin hem de çözüm fonksiyonlarının belirlenmesini sağladıkları için iyi iĢleyen yöntemlerdir.
Her iki yöntemin Schrödinger tipindeki bazı özel özdeğer problemlerine uygulanmasında baĢlangıçta, asimptotik iterasyon yönteminde bir bilinmeyen fonksiyona, varyasyonel yöntemde ise bir veya daha fazla bilinmeyen parametreye bağlı olarak bir çözüm fonksiyonu önerilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu önerilecek fonksiyonun uygun Ģekilde seçilmesi her iki yöntem için de zorluk oluĢturmaktadır.
Asimptotik iterasyon yönteminde, ikinci mertebeden diferansiyel denklemin katsayılarını oluĢturan fonksiyonların sağlaması gereken koĢul da yöntemin kullanımını kısıtlamaktadır.
Hermite, Laguerre, Legendre, Bessel, hipergeometrik ve confluent hipergeometrik denklem gibi birçok denklemin çözümlerinde, bu yöntemlerin verdiği

sonuçlar ile bunlardan farklı yöntemlerin verdiği sonuçlar karĢılaĢtırıldığında, sonuçların uyumlu olduğu görülmektedir.
Asimptotik iterasyon yöntemi, diferansiyel denklemlere belli koĢullar altında tam çözümler verebilmesi, tam çözüm veremediğinde ise iyi yaklaĢık sonuçlar vermesi açısından kullanıĢlı bir yöntemdir.

ÖZGEÇMĠġ
21 Eylül 1980 yılında Ankara’da doğdu. Ġlköğrenimini Yozgat Merkez Sakarya Ġlkokulu’nda, ortaöğrenimini Kars Merkez Atatürk Ortaokulu’nda, lise öğrenimini Edirne Lisesi’nde tamamladı. 1998 yılında Trakya Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Matematik Bölümü’nde lisans eğitimine baĢladı. 2002’de bu bölümden mezun oldu. 2003’de Trakya Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Matematik Anabilim Dalı’nda yüksek lisans eğitimine baĢladı. 2005 yılında Trakya Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Matematik Anabilim Dalı’nda araĢtırma görevlisi olarak çalıĢmaya baĢladı. 2007’de yüksek lisans eğitimini tamamladı. Aynı yıl Trakya Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Matematik Anabilim Dalı’nda doktora eğitimine baĢladı. 2012 yılından beri Trakya Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Matematik Bölümü Uygulamalı Matematik Anabilim Dalı’nda araĢtırma görevlisi olarak çalıĢmaktadır.
