Sonuç olarak çalışmamızda hipertiroidisi olan gebe hastaların çoğunluğu gestasyonel tirotoksikoz hastası iken, hipotiroidisi olan hastaların çoğunluğu ise subklinik hipotiroidi hastası idi. Hipertiroidisi olan gebe hastaların %1'inde Graves saptandı. Anti-TPO pozitifliği hipertiroidisi olan hastaların sadece 1'inde (%8.3) saptanmışken, hipotiroidisi olan hastaların 15 'inde (%93.7) izlendi. Hipotiroidisi olan hastaların çoğunluğu subklinik hipotiroidi iken, diğer hastalar klinik hipotiroidi hastası idi. Olgularımızın 7'sinde (%15.6) prematür gebelik görüldü ve otoimmunite ile prematüre gebelik arasında anlamlı fark izlenmedi. Nodül olgularımızın %24'ünde izlendi ve TSH yüksekliği, yaş ile nodül sıklığı arasında anlamlı fark bulunamadı. Sadece 1 hastaya ince iğne aspirasyon biyopsisi yapıldı ve sonucu önemi belirsiz atipi olarak raporlandı.

Ancak çalışmamızda gebe hastalarda beslenme durumu, iyot kullanım durumu ve idrarda iyot bakılmaması gibi sınırlılıklarının yanısıra, hasta sayısının az olması da çalışmamızın genellenebilirliğini sınırlamaktadır. Bu yüzden çalışmanın daha geniş hasta grupunda yapılmasının daha uygun olabileceğini düşünmekteyiz.

Türkiyenin iyod eksikliği bölgesi olması, tiroid hormon eksikliğinin gebelikte bir çok olumsuz sonuçlara yol açma riskinin olması ve TSH ölçümlerinin ülkemizde kabul edilebilir bir maaliyette olması nedeni ile gebe kalmayı planlayan tüm kadınlarda ve tüm gebelerde başlangıçta TSH ölçümü yapılmalıdır. Türkiye Endokrinoloji ve Metabolizma Derneğinin önerisi de bu yöndedir. Gebelerde rutin tiroid fonksiyon testlerine bakılarak erken tanı konmalı ve tedavisi başlanarak gebelik komplikasyonları önlenmeli, şüpheli nodüllere gebelik döneminde ince aspirasyon biopsisi yapılarak malignite ekarte edilmelidir.

Bizim çalışmamızda gebelerde tiroid hastalıkları ile nodül sıklığı, otoimmunite ve prematüre doğum arasında ilişki değerlendirilmiş olup, istatiksel anlamlı sonuç bulunamamıştır. Ancak hasta sayısının kısıtlı olması nedeniyle daha geniş kapsamlı çalışma serilerine ihtiyaç olduğu görülmüştür.
