SONUÇ VE ÖNERĠLER

Sonuç olarak çalıĢmamızda MS‟li hastalarla kontrol grubu karĢılaĢtırıldığında yaĢ, cinsiyet, eğitim düzeyi ve depresyon bakımından herhangi bir farklılık olmadığı görülmüĢtür.

Hastalar arasında cinsiyet bakımından kıyas yapıldığında ise erkek hastaların PASAT ve SDMT „de daha yüksek puan aldıkları görülmüĢtür. ÇalıĢmamızda hasta grubunda hastalık süresi, PASAT, SDMT, Bender Gestalt Testi-Süre ve Bender Gestalt Testi-Hata sonuçlarının birbirleriyle iliĢkisine bakıldı. PASAT ve SDMT arasında doğru orantılı istatistiksel olarak anlamlı iliĢki bulundu. Yani hastaların PASAT puanı arttıkça SDMT puanı da artmaktadır.

Bender Gestalt Testi-Süre ve Bender Gestalt Testi-Hata arasında ise doğru orantılı, istatistiksel olarak anlamlı iliĢki bulundu. Bender Gestalt Testi‟ni daha kısa sürede tamamlayan hastaların daha az hata puanına sahip olduğu ve aynı Ģekilde bu testi uzun sürede tamamlayanların daha fazla hata puanına sahip oldukları görülmüĢtür. SDMT ile Bender Gestalt Testi-Süre arasında ters orantılı, istatistiksel olarak anlamlı iliĢki bulundu. SDMT ile Bender Gestalt Testi-Hata arasında ise ters orantılı istatistiksel olarak anlamlı iliĢki bulundu.

Bu sonuca göre hastalar SDMT‟de yüksek puan aldıkça, Bender Gestalt Testi‟ni daha kısa sürede ve hata puanı düĢük olarak tamamladığı görülmüĢtür. Bender Gestalt Testi literatürde MS hastalarının kognitif değerlendirmesinde bildiğimiz kadarıyla ilk kez kullanılmıĢ olup, daha önce yaygın bir Ģekilde tüm dünyada kullanılan SDMT ile arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı iliĢki bulunması çalıĢmamızı diğer çalıĢmalardan farklı kılmaktadır. Fakat Bender Gestalt Testi‟nin MS‟li hastaların kognitif fonksiyonlarını değerlendirmesinde kullanılabilmesi için daha geniĢ popülasyonla yapılan çalıĢmalara ihtiyaç olduğu düĢünmekteyiz.
