8.2.1.1 ERS Düzenleme
Cinco isolados de P. destructans forneceram extratos com atividade seletiva contra T. cruzi com baixos danos as células normais. Além disso, os extratos de P. destructans se mostraram herbicidas; alguns com valores iguais ao controle utilizado. Táxons de Pseudogymnoascus foram relatados com substâncias bioativas. (Li et al., 2008) isolaram as geomicinas B e C, que apresentaram atividades antifúngicas e antibacterianas contra Aspergillus fumigatus, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli e Streptococcus pneumoniae. (Zhang et al., 2013) relataram que Pseudogymnoascus possui atividade antimicrobiana e antifúngica. Furbino et al. (2014) relataram duas espécies de Pseudogymnoascus associadas com macroalgas antárticas capazes de produzir atividade antifúngica contra Candida albicans e Cladosporium sphaerospermum.
Brunati et al. (2009) relataram que algumas espécies de Penicillium obtidas de lagos da Antártica são capazes de produzir substâncias citotóxicas e antimicrobianas; entre elas P. chrysogenum foi capaz de inibir S. aureus, Enterococcus faecium e E. coli. Algumas espécies de Penicillium até hoje são considerados fontes de novos fármacos com atividades
atividades herbicidas. Estes resultados estão de acordo Godinho et al. (2015) que também verificaram atividade herbicida de espécies de Penicillium obtidos de solos ultra-oligotróficos da região continental da Antártica.
As espécies de Mortierella são conhecidas como produtoras de ácidos graxos bioativos. Mortierella alpina obtida a partir de lagos antárticos produz altos níveis de ácidos graxos poliinsaturados, ácido γ linolênico e ácido araquidônico com atividades antioxidantes e antibacterianas (Melo et al., 2014). Mortierella parvispora é produtora de ácido araquidônico e ácido di-homo-γ-linolênico (Hou, 2008). O extrato de Mortierella sp. UFMGCB 10351 também apresentou atividade herbicida. A utilização de M. antarctica com características de desenvolvimento de novos produtos ou agregar valor a processos, já vem sendo analisada por diversos autores (Onofri et al., 2004; Maggi et al., 2013; Wagner et al., 2013), esses autores trabalham principalmente no isolamento de substâncias para avaliação da capacidade antimicrobiana, antibacteriana e antifúngica, há ainda análises de suplementação com M. antarctica para aumento da produção de Ácido eicosapentaenóico (rico em ômega 3) em grãos, essa suplementação estimula o aumento de ácido araquidônico, o que aumenta o valor agregado do produto (Jacobs et al., 2009). Os resultados obtidos nesse trabalho, agregam valor a utilização de Mortierella sp. na investigação de atividade antiparasitária e com fortes características herbicidas, sendo possível sua utilização na agricultura.
7 CONCLUSÕES
Os resultados obtidos neste trabalho indicam que os solos da Península Antártica abrigam espécies de fungos cosmopolitas adaptadas ao frio e também endêmicas. Pseudogymnoascus destructans foi a espécie mais abundante e geograficamente distribuída nos solos amostrados. Esse resultado corrobora com anteriores obtidos, os quais relatam isolados de P. destructans da Antártica com aqueles capazes de atacar morcegos na América do Norte, Europa e Ásia Paleártica. No entanto, serão necessários estudos mais aprofundados para comparar se os isolados de P. destructans da Antártica são capazes de causar doenças em morcegos ou em outros animais; estudos estes de suma importância, pois os solos da Península Antártica podem estar sob os efeitos de alterações climáticas, o que pode levar a liberação desses isolados para fora da Antártica.

A detecção de S. cerevisiae nos solos da Antártica representa um importante achado, pois sua distribuição geográfica até o momento não incluia a Antártica. Saccharomyces cerevisiae já foi relatada em todos os continentes; em alguns deles com a determinação de seu substrato natural e em outros não. Os isolados de antárticos de S. cerevisiae podem representar fortes candidatos para utilização de processos de fermentação em baixas temperaturas, pois foram obtidas de uma região constantemente fria na ilha Nelson. Contudo, para determinação se S. cerevisiae ocorre naturalmente na Antártica, serão necessários novos estudos de campo (re-coleta e re-isolamento em diferentes pontos da ilha Nelson e regiões próximas), taxonômicos, moleculares e fermentativos.
