Abstract:In this day and age the use of autonomous vehicles continues to soar up and companies that manufacture highly technological advanced vehicles are also on the rise. In consequence of that, there have been some collisions which resulted in questions being raised about who will be held liable for damages caused by these vehicles. The first point that should be highlighted about autonomous vehicles is that there are different levels to autonomous vehicles. The present study will emphasize the different levels to autonomous vehicles because as the level of the autonomy changes, the damages and the liable will also change. Finally, the study will dwell on how the type ofliability can be detected. On this topic danger liability, canine liability and manufacturer’s liability will be elucidated. This study will try to detect what type ofliability will be consistent.
